Yes, they are very good players at this level, but there are plenty of other strikers in this division who's fans would argue are the best forward league. Yet by the way some people go on here, you'd be led to believe Forster and Murray are comfortably the best strike partnership in the league, which, unfortunately they're not. They do get poor service week in week out, but that cant always be used as an excuse for our failings; sometimes it's up to the strikers themselves to make something out of very little.

Don’t get me wrong, Forster & Murray - very good players at this level, whom we are lucky to have. However, I cant help but feel they are overrated by some Brighton fans.

Murray is clearly not over rated by some of our fans. I think he is brilliant. Maybe I do over rate him, part of it maybe to do with the fact that everyone else is being crap around him, so he stands out more.

Forster I like apart from his moaning and diving. Good captain, good finisher.

There are better strikers in this league than our two, but I am glad they play for us, but that may change if they keep on arguing with each other during a game

Murray 18 appearances 10 goals

but 5 of those goals have been scored in two games

He's had a lot of duds for a striker. But I guess if you don't get the service etc etc

Overall, we won far more points and had much more FUN with 'headless chickens' Savage and Revell up front

You're not seriously suggesting you'd rather have them up front are you? If so, you deserve to be shot.

I agree with Tom, no i dont want to go back, but it was FUN when Baz was doing his tricks and Revell ran his heart out...not someting that can be levelled at our current two

From a purely Football-As-A-Form-Of-Entertainment viewpoint, I'd vote a resounding YES in Favour of Revell and Savage. WE didn't know what they were going to do next, THEY didn't know what they were going to do next, we had the biggest cult hero in Bas since Sir Anthony Rougier. If we're going to be stuck in this division for the foreseeable, I'd much prefer to have a bit of fun for my money than watch this season's joyless sack of shit

I think Murray is overrated by some. Forster is a more complete player yet to most fans eyes Murray is light years ahead.

Murray blows hot and cold. When on form, I think he is one of the best, if not the best in this league. But when he is bad he is fairly bad...

With Forster you know what you are going to get. Always making runs and trying to make things happen whether the team is playing well or not.

If we had a class midfield however, I think Murray would outshine Forster...

I think that's a good summary. There's no doubt Murray is a pretty high quality player. However, while you expect players to blow hot and cold at this level, I think Murray could do a bit more to force the issue when things aren’t going our way. I'm not saying he's lazy. It's his style. But, he could still probably do a little more in terms of making runs and scrambling in the box when the chips are down.

I don't agree that Murray is better without Forster.

For a start, we have won 0 league games when Murray has started and Forster hasn't...

Secondly our season was going strongly until Forster got injured. Our season went downhill thereafter...
