Possibly. I'm not potter out, either, just to be clear.

My point is simply about how there seem to be so many people claiming to already know there are problems and yet, some fans, as I mentioned, have simply been convinced it will all come good if we just keep doing what we're doing. There are also some fans who don't seem to care if that happens. They are enjoying the football, and have said they'd rather go down playing this football than staying up playing less entertaining football. Some fans are just not concerned by the results, or the failure to convert more chances than we currently are converting.

I got the impression you weren't Potter out.

I'm on balance positive, but imho TB will need to act in January on the striker issue, possibly with a loanee.

The only point where I disagree with the always; everything's marvellous and isn't the EPL incredible posters, is that winning to me is everything or almost everything. I'm a bad loser. When we get trounced by ManC and some people get rather excited because Guardiola praised, to me that's cringy.

There's no greater football feeling that your team scoring a winner and walking away from The Amex or elsewhere, with your weekend made.

Glorious failure, is simply faliure. Especially when it's been with great regularity since August 2017 in the $$$$ league.

But my optimism is borne out of the club including GP getting so many things right on and off the field. We are literally a quality striker away from burying half these chances, ascending the table. Our defending is the other issue, Dunk et al are having a stinker.

Hot air from an evident smart arse. To make a point that if we beat Arsenal in our next game we have still beaten only one side at home in 2020 is asinine.

Also to invoke 'fashion' (as in eternally unfashionable Bumley) smacks of sneery journalism from someone who can talk all the talk about the game but, in fact, is clueless.

In summary, people say we play very attractive football but we don't win enough games and, who knows, we could get relegated. Someone get me a chair to sit on and a warm mug of cocoa while I attempt to come to terms with this Shocking News.

Aye agreed...sums it up for me...next thread

Are those all the players that have been bought in since Potter was appointed ? If so, I'm not sure what point you are trying to make ???

"Needs to sign more Irish owners, CEOs, managers, players and fans and also move the club to Ireland and rename it Dunthirkle Rovers" would be my guess.

Stockdale's penalty save against massive is probably one of the highlights of the last 5 years .... well was for me as i knew we would get promoted after that.

To solve our problem I think we need to understand why the team delivered against Newcastle and Man U (we did batter them) has turned into a more turgid beast that has played in last 6 weeks. Its the same manager and generally the same players.

With regard to the defense I think the last time Dunk performed to his potential was when he was playing regularly with Duffy they tended to have that really strong bond that comes with familiarality

How detrimental was that United result? Was that the point things turned? Feels like it. Coincidence?

The first thing I'd say to people about Dunk is 'he is better on the ball than he gets credit for'. But, next, 'he is fantastic at putting his body on line in the box'.
Mr Robot Wars (forget his name) said yesterday 'it's concerning how many goals Albion are conceding in the box'.
So why has Dunk stopped being so imposing in his own box? What has changed?

Not wholeheartedly disagreeing and this sounds daft even as I write it, but has he been told NOT to dive about? Is it a case of an extra centre back making it harder to do? Is it something to do with the zonal marking? Is he not at that same level of intensity now his Irish psycho mate has moved on- did Duffy wind him up?
Not just jumping on Potter, just genuinely bemused how one of the best defenders in the country can go off the boil like this. A couple of games of poor form fine, coming back from an injury, distracted by personal matters etc. But most of the season so far?!

I and others keep saying it we need a big mobile forward a target man a younger version of Murrey plus we need a ball winning midfielder in the mold of a younger Dale Stephens

i would be inclined to give propper a run in behind wellbeck and maupay .........trossard is firing blanks at the moment , in fact maupay and trossard seem pretty ****ing miserable just now.

Talking to an ex Albion favourite on the phone this morning he summed it up succinctly, GP is an academy coach, we are playing academy football, the stats re possession and passes completed will be impressive but ultimately, this doesn’t mean anything in the EPL, and unfortunately this also indicates that GP is out of his depth.

Cold hard facts our manger/coach is producing a 20% win rate, not good enough to keep us up. Basically we are last seasons Norwich we have a go can’t take chances can’t defend.

To survive in this league especially with a low budget you have to be smarter yesterday after taking the lead we weren’t smart Veltman should of come on to protect the slim lead and probably Propper with his experience instead of Alzate. I heard Mourhino once say you need a reason to play the youth and not just for the sake of it, sums us up yesterday.

Norwich had 11 points at this stage last season and had a -16 goal difference. We are struggling but we’re not last season’s Norwich.

I said this a while back, while these new, younger, intellectual coaches can talk a good game and have an attractive philosophy which probably sounds good on paper - in practice a bit naive and lack of experience in other areas.

Gareth Southgate the same

Stating the bleeding obvious here and I think the club understand this too given we were linked to Nunez in the summer.

Bissouma fits the bill of the latter position very well, don’t you think?

Harshest summary I have seen on here for a while. What level did this ex Albion favourite play when he was at the Albion?

Name your source then, else how do we know you’re not making this up?
