The fellas clearly a great player but he’s behind people in the pecking order
He scores goals which is why we all know about him but he doesn’t get a decent run of games to prove himself

If he came here and played every week, you’d have to fancy him for top scorer

At 14 million I would go to Liverpool and drive him back to Lancing myself.

100% yes. Of course.

I’m dubious he’ll come to us mind. This is a guy who scored a couple in the Champions League final. Shocked anyone would be against him signing.

It does seem the Liverpool fans really don't rate him from what I've seen online. He looks good on the highlights reel, but who doesn't? (not including Locadia)
For £14m, you do have to wonder why he's valued that cheaply considering he's guaranteed to score tons of goals in the Prem?

Belgium striker signed from Liverpool. What could possibly go wrong?

Liverpool fans think he is bang average, has talent but doesn't show it.
Maybe he needs a run of games but looking at his stats he isn't the 10-15 goal a season striker we have been dreaming of (I know some have been dreaming 15-20)
If he is the guy our recruitment are after I will go along with it but would prefer Brewster.

Bang average is amazing when he has to be compared with Firmino, Mane and Salah

£14m would be a absolute steel, compare that to Wilson £20m, Watkins £33m,

A sound point.

Do you honestly believe his price will stay at that level?

I certainly don't think so and think his price will end up so high it will rapidly overtake his value.

That said with some very big money already spent by those in our league, I guess there's a chance.

Potter built his squad at Ostersunds with players that had not been fulfilling their potential, and consequently were cheaper, and then got them to perform much closer to their potential. I think Origi has the potential to score a lot more than his record to date.

Not sure why the negativity here. He's a good player, with experience at the top level that can offer us something different. In the right system I think he could be our man, and £14m is a steal for a striker with 90+ appearances for Liverpool and a Belgian international.

How many games tho? Time on pitch? 8 probably good in context

I get why he's never scored more than single figures for Liverpool, but he's never done it for any side he's played for.

I'm not saying he's a bad player but we need a striker who can score 10 goals, particularly if Maupay gets injured.
