Competition for his signature, wage expectations and him not fancying swapping title challenges for relegation battles would be the main obstacles.
I agree. Although do not think these points make it impossible

The rationale appears to be that there are several much better clubs that are likely to be in for him
But we are the Prem club most likely to give him consistent first team football, which is what he is after.

never understand this.
If he is decent then he will get first team football . Up to him to prove it wherever he goes.
Ultimately these things are money driven 9/10 .
So this is why Spurs struggle to sign a striker. Whoever signs for them knows Harry is number one, they are bench.

As much as I like Maupay.....Origi would be a nice upgrade. Would be interested to see how potter would rotate between the 2
I don't see it as an upgrade. Origi has never scored 10 league goals in a season in his life, let alone in the Premier League.
Origi PL starts:
2017/18 0
2018/19 7
2019/20 4
He has the problem of trying to oust anyone of a world class front three.
I can’t see him signing for us anyway, for two reasons - wages, he might command £150k a week (three times Dunk’s?) and as a CL player I think he’d to want to stay in or around that level.
I’d love to be proven wrong with his signing.
Where the hell did you get £150K a week from? He's on £60K a week.
In his next contract elsewhere, he’ll command a huge contract. He’s proven he can score against anyone, despite being the perennial sub.
The following all earn £100k to £130k a week - Max Meyer, Benteke, Drinkwater, Haller, Sigurdsson, M.Sakho, Walcott. Many derided by fans as absolute dross.

whatever he gets, they'll be enough desperate clubs looking for a striker that will offer more than us.
Villa, Newcastle, Palace and Leeds must be close to spending every penny they can raise surely? Could be very astute to wait

Fact.
West Ham, CP, Leicester, Villa aren’t averse to paying huge wages.
Fact. They all have better options than us up front already,

Does that come from paying far higher wages (to selected players) than us?
