He’s a completely different type of player to the one I was expecting, to be honest.

In a good way.

I pictured someone more of the Buonanotte ilk, a number ten linking up play behind the striker with little touches.

Instead he’s a full blown box to box midfielder, superb engine on him to go with the technical skills I was probably more expecting him to rely on.

Did start to tire in the second half, but to be expected given it was his first PL start.

Looks an absolute steal at £11m. How does Tony keep on doing it?

He looks forward and has the vision for a good pass.

I’m in.

Lovely long passing, tired a bit second half as you’d expect

Worthing
That first part from him was mental.
I mean part as well. Three amazing passes, a drop of his shoulder and off, winning tackles …. Astonishing

i thought he was a no.6 but instead we’ve got a great no.8 - just made midfield look so much sharper and quicker in movement. I’m now at peace with myself over WBG leaving now - this is the huge step up that I’d didnt think Weifer / Ayara were/are. If he repeats this then Baleba / Gomez may even better than Mac Allister / Caicideo midfield pairing
