And Hinsh did well.

If we can keep some players fit, we all of a sudden have options
Tbh, I'd temporarily forgotten about Hinsh in this context, as he's just so good as a utility player. Quality, wherever he plays (y)

Looked very much a PL league player in terms of his physicality, and just being up with the pace of the game.
These are normally the big question marks we have over central midfielders stepping up from inferior leagues. Don’t think we have anything to be worried about on that front. Looks MORE than equipped for the rigours of the PL.

With them all fit and on form, our midfield could be fantastic.

Baleba, Gomez, Hinsh and then Ayari, O'Riley and Wieffer clearly have something although inconsistent.

Young players are inconsistent, and injuries have hit this area hard. But there's so much potential there.
I think what we need is two players to have a run of games together and form a really good partnership. Baleba and one other.

Until we get that, we are really going to struggle for consistency.

Hürzeler started with Milner whom I thought had a really good run of games before he got crocked. But in terms of the other 5, it’s a really tough decision and a headache for the manager with Gomez making a very credible claim to start on Friday.

Exactly Fab’s major problem. Has had no chance to have a settled starting midfield due to injuries.
