Don't feel let down but might need counselling to get through the summer.

70 points is par. It looked like we had overachieved until the recent results. Now only two wins would bring up up to par.

I was not all that keen at playing West Ham in the play-offs over two legs.

Well, if Dicker has read the crap Gus has got on here over selection for the last few away games, then maybe the players do feel a bit of responsibility for not having delivered on the pitch.

.

Yes, you keep saying that. Doesn't make it true though.

Its an arbitrary figure that you've plucked out of the air, and is at least 10 higher than most people would have set 'par' before the start of the season.

No complaints from either, every player in that squad has given 100% in my opinion.

Cant ask for more than that :)

Bloody delighted with the season

People like yourself must be a joy to sit next to every week. I bet you were one of the twats that boo'd on Tuesday. Miserable git.

I let my "staff" down when i was vigorously and anally rutting a pigugly houndess in the toilets of a dive i was the bouncer at after hours many years ago. I've never forgiven the manager for interrupting this porky porking just seconds before i UGLUed her/it either. Fiend.

Been a really good season..one of contentment in my view.

Time will fly and before we start next season my next child will have been born, so thankfully my time will be taken up with that and not desperately waiting for the first game to come around!

I haven't been let down at all. Can't wait for next season to get here. The next two games will be quite fun actually, think Gus will tinker around with the side and give fringe players a chance to prove themselves or he will get rid.

I don't feel let down in the slightest.

I am struggling with 2 contrasting emotions at the same time however, I am bloody ecstatic that the season has gone so well, no relegation worries and playing a type of football that is a joy and at the same time feeling slightly disappointed that we ran out of steam in the last couple, I really thought we'd make the play off's a few weeks back.

Why is everyone saying they don't feel let down over the course of the season?

READ the original post - it says 'in light of their RECENT results'. I'd argue that no win in six, including a 6-0 drubbing in a crunch game (which cost me £32, by the way) that determined the outcome of what we've have to play for in the last three fixtures has let me down somewhat. Call me a bad fan, though.

 If only we'd played like Barcelona, like he said in almost every match thread, we would have got promoted

The season itself hasn't been a let down - far from it - but some of the results stand out as particularly disappointing.
Palace at home, West Ham away, Watford away, etc, games where the team just didn't turn up.
