Just being realisitic as this is what usually happens we finish up with the players nobody else wants and usually we dont sign them until after 1st July and the players are back in training. I would love to be proved wrong and we sign him on Monday but I wont hold my breath.

Hope that you are proved right. As Jamie Rednapp said on Sky today as soon as the season is finished his dad is preparing for the next and the same would happen with Fergie so perhaps we should take note and start preparing NOW not on 1st July.

Not at all but as has been shown in the past by the time we sign players after the Worthing friendly we have to have what is left over and not been taken. Now is the time to make signings to get them on side and prepared to come back on 1st July ready for pre season training.

We wouldn't be paying his wages regardless of when we signed him until the 1st of July.

That was not meant to be fact about paying wages more a knock at our usual lack of urgency in signing anybody.

I would agree about RS but it doesnt rest with him entirely he needs support and backing.

FA rules allow you to talk to and sign players anytime except between 1st - 13th June which is considered the close season, when you cannot do anything.

Yea...the FA allows CLUBS to talk to players etc....not YOU ! We have no idea what goes on behind the scenes regarding scouting , talking to, and signing players ! Maybe we all need to chill out and let it happen....what will be, will be. Whatever we think here, really is of no concern to Russell Slade , DK , or whoever will become Chairman .....and you know?....they do have the interests of our beloved club at heart !
We all think that there are great changes here.lets just let it happen.....
