Dicker on his way - more Stockport to follow?

Argus reports we are trying to sign Dicker on a two year deal.

The reporter also plucked out a number of other Stockport names we could be looking at. Seems total gueswork to me, but as I said before I wouldn't mind signing that Rose as cover at left back.

The keeper is apparantly attracting PREMIER league interest though which is a shame.

GREAT news if we can sign Dicker.

Really hope we can move quickly on Dicker. I'm sure other clubs will be looking at him as well.

Dicker isn't the sort of player you can build a team round. Tidy and hardworking but hardly a playmaker who can dictate the game. More someone who fits in nicely to a team.

Also, I would not touch Ifill with a barge pole and Robson-Kanu would be a DREAM but never going to come.

I don't think we've seen the best of Dicker yet- the assist for the 3rd goal vs Oldham is what he can do. And that means he can definately dictate the game, especially in a team that is playing attacking winning football rather than scrapping for their lives. Why wouldn't you touch Ifil?

I would rather have younger hungry players coming up than someone who it seems has long been destined to see out his last few seasons at his hometown club.

Also, Ifill would clearly be quite costly. I just don't think we need to spend more of our limited budget on attacking options.

Ifill is a Brighton boy who played at Palace, I would hardly call him a 'Palace reject scumbag'.

Thought he was there as a youth, evidently not!

Well Borrowdale and Andrew were Palace players and one of the main reasons we stayed in this league. What difference does it really make? Especially given that Ifill is an Albion fan.

Wasnt borrowdale QPR?

A key problem with Ifill is that he gets injured a lot...
