Without any doubt, and looking back no credible reason was ever given for 2 stalwarts in Steve Ford and Alan Sanders "leaving" an institution that they were instrumental in setting up! If it is about costs, no one person has given more to a club EVER than Dick Knight. He used his own money to save our club, unlike Derek Chapman who has trousered away god knows from the construction of the Amex and will no doubt benefit from the building of the Academy

I get the distinct impression that Tony Bloom sees the value of AITC principally as a means to promote the commercial interests of the football club. Constitutionally, it is an independent charity, answerable to the Charity Commission, who require its activities to support the charitable aims and objectives set out in its governing rules.

True, but like it or not, we are a business now. FFP says we will cut costs wherever and whenever we can, plus maximise revenue in a similar way. As I said, I foresee another FFP / Barber storm brewing!

As a director and shareholder of a construction firm, Derek Chapman is entitled to benefit from its trading activities. I can see nothing libellous about saying so.

Point of information: community schemes are not included in FFP rules - so whether AitC lost money or not would have no bearing on FFP.
