That comment doesn't really tell us anything. Although, I guess it is all about how you interpret the word 'foreseeable'.

I am guessing that the future, in playing terms, is only foreseeable until the new manager comes in. In which case, Knight is telling us the White will remain in employment at least until a new manager takes office. We already knew this.
