The Derby defence was woeful - how many times did they struggle to clear simple long throws? Clarke was probably the best of a bad bunch.....and in particular Edmundson was a complete liability. Must be tricky playing with so many poor team-mates. Having said that, probably a bit unfair to judge them on such a day. But I think Clarke needs to go to a club that wants to play football (and ideally not managed by Wayne Rooney).

Been like that since Curtis Davies got injured. We've conceded goal after goal from set pieces, no leaders at the back, everything has stemmed from there.....

Ooooo.

Derby could still get a points penalty sending them down with Wednesday as the EFL has won its appeal.

According to The Athletic.

According to The Athletic.

Derby County are set to find out that they have lost a battle with the English Football League over the Championship club's accounting policies.

The Rams were cleared of breaching Financial Fair Play rules last year.

However, the EFL appealed against the decision to an independent tribunal and it is understood to have won its case, which centres around how new signings are accounted for.

An announcement is expected soon.

What's the betting that any penalty is applied to next season?

Yes on the basis that the appeal has reported (coincidentally and definitely not to avoid massive litigation) after the final game of this season.

If they authorities have to shaft either Derby or Wycombe, they'll shaft Wycombe

Isn't that what happened with Sheff Weds last year - they delayed the decision until after the final game, then applied the penalty to the following season.

Yes however they punished Wigan during the season which sent them down, although im not sure if the point deduction actually mattered in that case.
