Had the Derby board not cheated then it would be them - and not Wycombe - in the third tier. The Football League should therefore hand out the same punishment as was handed out to the Saracens rugby team, i.e. they are hit with a 118 point deduction which means even if they win their remaining 38 games they will finish on 6 points and so mathematically be relegated.
