I didnt bring up class , look at the original post, herr tubthumper did , i couldnt give a f*** what class someone is , ive met good and bad from all strata of society, it just amuses me that herr tubthumper tries to paint a picture of a working class labour man , manfully striding home from t'pit, and he freely admits to going to a hairdresser for fucks sakeBushy, do you delierately cultivate the enormous chip on your shoulder over class distinction, to balance the one on your other shoulder that we're not allowed to mention on here anymore?

stock responses to stock answers , come on surely you "working class folk" can do betterAnd one of your stock responses, either this or your 'rubber pants' or 'coach and horses' lines. I see you dont use the 'rubber pants' line much these days...especially after you foolishly used it in a Brighton Pride thread.

Rubbish, if you wish to read that as bringing the class issue into it then carry on, HT ,started bleating about "us working class folk" , i just pointed out the discrepancies in his "working class " cover.Yes you did. You rounded on THPP, suggesting that anybody applying their morals to a football decision was evidence of football being stolen 'from the working man'.
HT pointed out that some working men have morals too.
Carry on...
you obviously do, you didnt bring it up until one of your cohorts did.Er?
you wrote "and they talk about the game being stolen from the working man "
...which is what I responded to. Do you have the mind of a goldfish?
What is this issue with my hairdresser? Barberellas in Hove is hardly Tony and Guy.
Come on, it's obvious HT. Ex-squaddies with anger management issues and class- and, erm, other-related chips on their shoulder the size of the state of Nevada all get their hair hacked off with BAYONETS. Didn't you know that? What is this issue with my hairdresser? Barberellas in Hove is hardly Tony and Guy.
No, im suggesting they wouldnt start using words like moral compass when discussing who they'd want as manager of their local f***ing football club. And taking your 'moral compass' arguement further are you suggesting working class people do not have morals...and that they are only the preserve of the middle classes?
Oh, and another of the knitting circle arrives, still not got over me witnessing a spanish oil trader giving you the elbow at the roof gardens then eh ??Come on, it's obvious HT. Ex-squaddies with anger management issues and class- and, erm, other-related chips on their shoulder the size of the state of Nevada all get their hair hacked off with BAYONETS. Didn't you know that?

hahahah you are so desperately trying arent you ? i cant believe what youve just written, the bar du vin !!....have another try
Besides if you want evidence of my working class creditentials please go to the pork scratchings thread. You cannot get any more working class than eating tavern snacks in a pub can you?
(P.S. ever thought I might play around with class issues?)
I don't understand the hate for Wise. Football fans traditionally love to have a hated player. So surely with him at the helm it would be brilliant.
He has a great track record as a manager , can attract good players and would command some respect. Would I think be the right man to install the them and us mentality as under Wilkins and Slade we ahve gone soft and likeable
And one other thing, he has no previous strong links with the Scum
I'm with the late Sir Bobby Robson on this one...
"My biggest disappointment was Dennis Wise, a director of football who was hardly seen at the ground, and who brought in players who were neither suitable, nor right, for Newcastle United. I forgive most people, but I am not sure I can forgive Wise for what he did to my club."
Thanks, but NO THANKS.
hahahah you are so desperately trying arent you ? i cant believe what youve just written, the bar du vin !!
ps no i havent,i doubt you do, youve just realised you cant use it as an example because of the pub you mentioned , bar du vin hahaha
ah yes pub du vin, have been there once, just a thought, how can crisps "look poncy" ?It's Pub du Vin NOT Bar Du Vin.
I'd have really blown my cover if I'd alluded to eating pork scratchings in a wine bar. The establishment also sells REAL ale and pickled eggs. The crisps do look a bit ponsy though.
