If he comes in and starts winning then Albion fans would soon love him.

Besides, it's always fun to have a pantomime villain on your own side and there'd be loads of "Go on Wisey!" from Albion fans when games got heated and the dwarf-like one started going mental at any/all of the opposing support/manager/players(s), not to mention match officials.

Precisely. But even if he took us to the premiership, he'd have his detractors blithering on about Wendy's dismissal. Evn when Mullery took us up, some moaned he should have taken us up sooner!!

Personally I'll get behind whoever it is. But I'd prefer Coppell. He has unfinished business and has a proven track record everywhere he's been - unlike Adams 2nd coming.

I'm with the late Sir Bobby Robson on this one...
"My biggest disappointment was Dennis Wise, a director of football who was hardly seen at the ground, and who brought in players who were neither suitable, nor right, for Newcastle United. I forgive most people, but I am not sure I can forgive Wise for what he did to my club."
Thanks, but NO THANKS.

Wise is a nasty, violent, boss-eyed little thug with a questionable track record in management. I wouldn't want him anywhere NEAR the Albion.

Nicely put - I couldn't agree more (though I admit I didn't know about the boss-eyed bit). I don't want the nasty little shit anywhere near my beloved Albion.

I am told the mug was awake - the sleeping thing is just something made up by people with a downer on him.

"Wise's time at Leicester was less successful and equally marred by controversy. He made just 17 league appearances and was sent home from a pre-season tour of Finland and suspended by the club on 20 July 2002, after breaking the nose and jaw of team-mate Callum Davidson, who was trying to act as a peacemaker in a dispute between Wise and another player" - wiki

Kind of hard trying to keep the peace when you are asleep?

Okay, so some bloke comes in peace...and Wise smashes his face in.

Sure, if he kept banging on about "some of us have morals" as if others have none. Football ia just about winning - and Denis Wise is a f***ing winner!

I think you'll find it is spelt wAnKer.

Please not Dennis Wise. Aside from the fact I don't see him being a great manager, he is also a manager who will be difficult to like (to put it mildly). If the Slade-bashers reserved the right to scream for his premature dismissal, then I shall reserve the right not to jump aboard a "whoever comes in will get my full backing" bandwagon. Obviously not saying if he did come I wouldn't want the club to be successful under him, he's just not a man I ever want to be associated with the Albion.

I wouldn't want Wise, but if he got the job, it wouldn't stop me going to support the Albion............and can you imagine the abuse from the terraces if he loses the next 10 games............fantastic......LOL..!

f***ing hell, what is wrong with some of you? If he comes he'll be on our side, that means we should support him. Anybody that says that they would throw their season ticket away shouldn't be f***ing allowed one in the first place.

How does that work then? Are we supposed to surrender all critical judgement on anyone that the Club might employ?

Some things are more important than blindly getting behind the club. IMHO if the Albion hire Wise then they've lost their moral compass and forfeit any right to claim to be a family/community club. Fuckit, I'd be quite happy to offload me season ticket while the little shit is in charge then take it up again when the c unt's been sacked for punching out a dinner lady or something.

Out of interest, what has Dennis Wise exactly done as a manager that's so enraged you? He was one of Chelsea's players of the century (several diehards I know have said that, didn't go to the bridge much myself!) and someone fans of other clubs loved to hate (because they feared him). But what's he done in his managerial career that's so immoral? Genuinely want to know, I'm not being sarchy or confrontational.

I just hate the little shit as a person full stop and don't believe the Albion need to taint the club with his presence. As for his dodgy time as a manager, here's what wikipedia has to say:

On 1 April 2009, following the appointment of Alan Shearer as manager on an interim basis, Newcastle released a statement that Wise had left his role as Executive Director of Football with immediate effect. The club also confirmed that there were no plans to replace Wise.[45]

In an interview with the Guardian on 28 July 2009, it was revealed Wise is still receiving £20,000 per week from Newcastle United and was cited as one of the many reasons buyers are reluctant to purchase the club.[46]

After the death of Sir Bobby Robson, The Sun's Bob Harris wrote how Robson told him: "My biggest disappointment was Dennis Wise, a director of football who was hardly seen at the ground, and who brought in players who were neither suitable, nor right, for Newcastle United. I forgive most people, but I am not sure I can forgive Wise for what he did to my club."[47]

To sum up: f*** Dennis Wise and all he stands for. Utterly shameful if the albion give the poison dwarf any kind of employment in the game. IMHO, like.

You stopped being working class when you joined the labour party. Folk? are you a northerner or just attempting to sound working class? if you are then id drop the manbag and start using the barbers instead of the hairdressers , you'd look a little more authentic then.

i wouldnt mind seeing Wise IMHO aslong as he comes back in with Poyet...remember how good they were when they were at Leeds

look at Wise's record

Millwall- Played 89, Won 36, Drew 24 and Lost 29 which game him a percentage of 40.45% with his success

Swindon-Played 17-Won 9, Drew 5 and Lost 3 which gave his success percentage as 52.94%. yeah he might have only been there for a few games but he left them 2nd in the table

Leeds-Played 99, Won 47, Drew 19 and Lost 33 which gave his success rating as 47.47%.

yeah is two long managerial roles at Millwall and Leeds were under 50% but it shows where he has gone he has won more games then he has loss....dont you want a manager who is like that ??...i thought that whats you all want....yeah he might be arrogant...but the brighton players need to toughen up aswell with there standing tackles and Wise could be the one to do that
