I admire your pedantry and I'm delighted to finally be part of a craze 😀. I think I've spent the last 50 years spelling it that way (and presumably shouting eke everytime I've seen a mouse!) but you are indeed correct and I've written "eke" out 100 times on the blackboard to remind me.
:lolol::lolol:

It's something I've seen a lot recently (mainly in reference to pensioners deprived of heating allowance). I've never misspelled it because I learned the word at 11 when it was mentioned in Jennings and Darbishare, when the latter explained the the word 'nickname' came from 'ekename' (ie additional name). Never let it be said that children's books can't be educational :lolol:

Well, he could have a point. Brighton looked for another member to the loan department in March, without Greer going anywhere, so I'm guessing his workload has been more than it should have been. I've had a friend in a similar role in a Swedish club and there's a lot of things to fix.

Many young players who get loaned out will live on their own for the first time in their life. There's a decent chance these kids are calling Greer about everything from how to pay their rent to put on the laundry machine. They feel lonely? Call Greer. Hotel room or apartment provided by the new club not good enough? Call Greer. Manager not treating the player well? Call Greer.

If its anything like the role my friend had, Greer is basically some sort of extra dad to the 15-20 youngsters out on loan.

No wonder Undav wasn't prioritised... but like I said, could be a point to it - its an awful lot of work for one person to solve various player problems, give them feedback on their performances and write reports to Weir & others from the recruitment/planning staff.
I doubt Greer has anything to do with rent! We are slightly bigger club than any in Sweden. Think we'll have plenty of contacts in the admin side that deal with such things. Greer manages the loan processes for the club.

Yeah with have a few player care people that help deal with all those things (and so do the academy).

Should be Jennings and Darbishire.

Can we just get shot of this guy? Please? Shaft Stuttgart whilst doing it obviously

I do not believe him, he just wants out. Bad Apple

I say this having been a fan before we loaned him out
Surely some sort of paycheck came from Brighton, at least partial...🤔

Remember to add vfb Stuttgart to the upcoming Wikipedia category page "Football clubs psychologically enslaved by Paul Barber".

The £50m Chelsea bid should be in any time now.

Unbelievable business! Top money for a very average player getting nowhere near our first team.

Love this, great work 👏
He was not average in the Bundesliga though. He was one of the top strikers there last season, only Kane and Guirassy were better.

In summary, it’s a great deal for Undav, Brighton and Stuttgart. We’re all happy.

Hard to see it as a great deal for Stuttgart imo.

They recently talked about not spending much money because they had financial issues in the recent past... but yet here they are, at a poker table I think they'd be better off avoiding.
