Correct.I assume that is to do with the number of clubs a player can register with in a single season.

If Stuttgart had come up with the £20M, it might be. We don't know Undav would be unhappy to remain here, just happier to be there.Once upon a time 20M was a big transfer fee for a Brighton player, and a fringe player maybe if he came back. A sale seems to be the best option for all concerned.
Not necessarily. Undav could be looking for the job as the pinch hitter ("super-sub") for Bayern. They released Choupo-Moting so they're probably looking for a new man up front. Undav is pretty much exactly the type of player he wants. So it could be about that rather than Stuttgarts potential unwillingness to pay the €20m.The thing is I don't think the 20 million is on the table, if Stuttgart were prepared to meet the agreed fee then he'd be singed
From this morning's BBC Football (Gossip) siteApologies if mentioned earlier in this thread
I’m pretty sure I read something along the lines of We May have a buy back clause inserted in the deal that is causing the hold up Or perhaps i imagined it
Think it’s a clever way of preventing us from losing him too cheaply if his value soared while on loan.I’m lost with this buy back clause
But if its done before the end of June, isn't that last season, not next season?I assume that is to do with the number of clubs a player can register with in a single season.
The players are humans and if they want to move to their home country or whatever, you try to find solutions because... its the nice and reasonable things to do. If they just want to play in a bigger club, of course we can play hard ball, but when someone perhaps wants a move for personal reasons its all a bit different.Hate to admit it, I’m leaning towards the Simon Jordan take on player contracts. Why are we begging Gross to stay he’s under contract for another season. Likewise with Undav we were good enough to loan you to a German club to play and get into the German squad as was your dream. How about saying thank you very much I’m now going back to my club to help them next season.
Sometimes a player extends a contract so his club can get a fee, or an improved fee. In Pascals situation it might be he was promised he could leave, if a suitable German club was interested, the contract then is more to be able to get a fee, and prevent a sale to a PL rival perhaps.Hate to admit it, I’m leaning towards the Simon Jordan take on player contracts. I get the moral argument humans sign contracts for all sorts of things in life many of which we can’t just walk away from when we feel like it. I haven’t particularly enjoyed all the projects I’ve worked on and had better offers during the contracted duration. Unfortunately I’ve tied myself in to see out the contract and can only learn from it.The players are humans and if they want to move to their home country or whatever, you try to find solutions because... its the nice and reasonable things to do. To you he is Gross, to people at the club he'll be Pascal, and if he feels like moving home to Germany for one reason or another we will try to help him with that. Hopefully we can convince him to stay in England but it is what it is.
No, it really isn't. Modern day prem level footballer is not a 'normal' job, you can't apply the rules of a 'normal' job, even a fairly high paying one. These guys are being paid as if they were top level CxOs. They should try f***ing acting like them (the good ones!!). You have signed a MASSIVE contract, honour it.The players are humans and if they want to move to their home country or whatever, you try to find solutions because... its the nice and reasonable things to do. I don't know if its the reason, but he is already registered at Stuttgart for last season. The transfers of contracted players all happens in the transfer windows, so Ibrahim that we have bought already can't officially go through until this window. But if its done before the end of June, isn't that last season, not next season?
