If Dirty Leeds do get promotion, will we be hearing all Summer what a great club they are, and how they will be top 6 first season back, and that they will win the PL, the following season?

You know, like last time.

Deluded isn’t a strong enough word.
Haven’t they now got a Chinese fortune to waste though?

The cynic in me says many LUFC fans would still have booed even if they had known.
'I couldn't hear what was being said but, knowing that it might be about a serious matter, I chose to stay quiet. Unfortunately, I then choked on a piece of half time pie and a 'boo' like sound came out of my mouth. I was unable to stop this for five minutes'

Having a dislike for both Southampton and the champions of Europe I really hope their encounter on the final day means something to the both of them, with it ending that they cancel each other out, Ipswich get promoted and both of them fail in the play offs with Hull being promoted for good measure

Twats the pair of them

I seem to recall both dislike each other, can see Southampton being up for it.

Southampton have no cause to be up for it. They can't go anywhere. Might as well rest players.

Has Leeds spell in the Championship done anything to make their fans any less entitled?

It appears not, as this fan thinks they will attract better players than "normal" clubs that get promoted

I work with a Southampton fan and he said there manager was too loyal to the players that got them promoted and any momentum they had was lost after two months of getting hammered every week. I will maybe naively hope that we can attract a better sort of player than normal promoted clubs

I suspect he isn't quite as deluded as we might want to think.
However they still aren't going to attract enough players to make a big enough difference.

Assuming that the Premier League shit themselves and fail to relegate City, then Leeds need to get a squad better than the likes of Wolves or West Ham, to stand any chance of staying up.

The gulf is getting bigger each season.

Unfortunately we have a Leeds fan that started with us a few months ago

Already been blessed with - among others.

We are way to big for the Championship

When we get promoted we will be pushing for the title with our backing and fanbase

After a draw at WBA away - should be smashing teams like that

None of the players that have left us since relegation have gone to better clubs and are stepping down

It's just one fan. A dear friend of mine, of Yorkshire, and a Leeds fan of over 50 years has been telling me that they will go the same way of the other promoted teams. The belief being that this current squad is just not good enough for the top level.

When I spoke about the various Leeds players being casually linked with Brighton, the response was generally 'not good enough for your level'. Rutter was a favourite though, although it was felt that we had paid too much. He's upped his game since he arrived though.

There are a few who still think it's 1975 and think Leeds deserve this and that. But a lot are pretty rational about things.

I watch all their matches, and my friend Albion's. They'll be a good addition to the league. I'm hoping especially as Burnley, despite what the table shows, seem so negative.

Of the three teams likely to go up automatically, I want Sheffield Utd the most by far. Then Leeds, then Burnley. I'd be a bit disappointed if Sheffield United missed out, whereas there are lols to be had otherwise.

Then Coventry via the play offs, or perhaps Sunderland - an away trip to either would be decent.

I still remember a radio phone in thing I listened to when they first got promoted to the prem a few years back. They had Leeds fans, & ex players predicting how they would do. EVERY SINGLE ONE of them said something along the lines of “comfortably stay up first season, and then be in the top 6 from there on”. They all basically predicted European football & challenging for trophies after a couple of seasons back in the Prem. Not even the slightest glimmer of being humble amongst them. It was as if the last 20 years had not happened.

Oh God, I don't want Burnley again. They're just another yoyo club who will be crap if they come up, as usual. Even more so this time in fact, because they have Scott Parker managing them.

If we're picking preferences based on the play off contenders, I'll go for Bristol City. Obviously they will be shockingly bad at PL level if they somehow squeak their way through, but at least it'll be a good away day. I don't mind Coventry as such but Lampard is quite irritating.

Point of order. It’s Scotty Parker.
