I read somewhere that Guardiola said Bielsa is the best manager he has ever seen.

Also said Bielsa knew more about the Barcelona players than he did.

This was when they were both managing in the Spanish league.

Disappointed with NSC on this thread, quite happy to be condescended to by a Leeds fan because he can use long words.
He's no different to the Helmets on twitter as far as I can see.

Like a lot of one club towns and cities, the majority of the football supporting public do support them, but, that’s the same in Newcastle, Sunderland, Portsmouth, and even small places, Burnley, Ipswich, Norwich. This then appears to their local support that they are far more popular country wide than they really are. I know far more supporters, mainly , but not exclusively, armchair fans of the traditional ( now) big 6. I also feel Leeds history has led to their fans feeling a bit paranoid, and have circled the wagons, figuratively speaking . Being from the industrial North, there is a lot of football clubs within a very small area, nearly every medium size town , and bigger has a football league club. This has led to each club having a far larger amount of local rivalries, again different from our own experience where our nearest rivals are our only serious opposition.

I , personally, would put Leeds in the bottom end of the second division of the ‘ Big Club ‘ League alongside clubs likes Sunderland, above Portsmouth , but below Newcastle and Forest. Us, I think ,are probably top 3 of the third division with Norwich, and Charlton, but, if things continue the way they are, we might scrape into the second division soon.

Forest? No, I can't see that. No doubt you'll point at their two European Cups in the Clough era, but to me, winning the title is the ultimate achievement and they have only done it once. Leeds have won titles in three different decades and under two different managers. As for Sunderland and Newcastle, their last title wins were both before the second world war. Some Leeds fans may be deluded, but let's not join them.

I understand what you're saying, RS, but I would cut NSC a bit of slack on this one. It's relatively easy to spot a wrong 'un like the Palace pillocks but KW made a good fist of appearing plausible to start with. We gave him the benefit of the doubt initially but I get the feeling the NSC worm has started to turn. It's up to him whether he lightens up and starts to contribute positively in our back yard or digs his heels in as a polysyllabic bigot. We'll see.
