Everyone only hates the way this has turned out because it is Leeds, if it was Cheltenham no one would give a toss that they had bent the rules, everyone everywhere hates Leeds and we love it :D

Ive got to agree with part of that. I could see us doing the same in that situation.

I wish you both luck in your support of Leeds.Personally, I am glad I am just supporting a "two-bit" club, but at least has enough supporters with the balls to rally and fight against corrupt chairmen and directors. Whatever we have achieved in the past, I am proud, and whatever we achieve in future, I hope will have been gained fairly.

the word 'enough' there is the key word. there is a small group of us who fought long and hard, who foolishly spent a fortune on the plc to have a voice. we did everything we could but when you are a tiny fraction of the leeds fanbase, no one wanted to listen. too busy enjoying dom scoring in the san siro or watching seth johnson play for £38k a week. we played fair and just with them, right from the flyposters in kirby lonsdale where my good pal Pete Rid$dale resides to being arrested for being in the same place at the same time as him and 'stalking'. uh, elland road, at 3pm on a saturday afternoon. not many other places i am going to be.
i got myself a life ban from elland road (long since lifted when the mad fisherman went on his way) for daring to speak out about him. not all of us laid down dead and let them walk all over us.

i will always be proud to be a leeds fan though, i might not agree with everything that happens right back to us playing in red shirts through to bates and wise. it doesn't stop what our past is or what our future could be.

BensGrandad i have read that book, or rather skimmed through it, i think it says a lot but i think at the same time there is a lot of fabrication amongst some fact there. certainly interesting. i will reserve my full judgement until after may 28th though.

I'm not sure people hate Leeds as such, they're just laughing at them. Any of the bigger clubs who've gone down a couple of divisions have had to put up with that kind of mocking- look at how Forest, Man City, Sheffield Wednesday had to trawl around the likes of Macclesfield Town and Torquay United, putting up with "You're not famous any more" chants.

I think the only thing that makes people enjoy Leeds demise more is this belief among a lot of their fans that they're still giants of the game, the obsession with Chelsea and Man United.

A reality check is seriously needed- Man United don't give a damn about Leeds: they laugh at them, before concentrating back on the Premiership. Chelsea, Liverpool, they also laugh at Leeds, as do, more humiliatingly perhaps, Scunthorpe, Colchester United and maybe even Yeovil, soon enough.

And to the Leeds fans who assume you're going to piss straight through League One and back up- Man City squeaked up via a penalty shoot out in the play offs, Wednesday had a couple of seasons mooching around before they also scraped through against Hartlepool, and Forest are still trying after two seasons. So I wouldn't assume it's a done deal, not by a long shot.

I think you're right. Leeds means absolutely nothing to me - there are a whole heap of results I look out for before Leeds. But that's not to say I didn't enjoy seeing defeat after defeat when I turned my eye to Championship results this season.

I also made no effort to see any of our recent games against Leeds - I saw none of them. A Cup Final it certainly wasn't for me. Of course, given the ease with which we took points from them, I wish I had got my arse into gear.

I would suggest any Leeds fans who think 'once a big club, always a big club' have a look at the history of Blackpool.

I don't hate Leeds at all.

What I am seeing is a club inploding at the moment. Firstly relegated, now all sorts of stories on their boards regarding Wise falling out with whatever players are left and an alledged spat between a senior player and one of their supporters groups.

How all off a sudden were Leeds 35 million in debt after the chairmen giving messages that the club would soon be debt free ?

All I can say is REALITY CHECK

Is it possible that our visit to the Withdean this season coming could be the biggest game in your entire history?

Champions of Brighton and Hove vs Champions of Europe

What an epic :lolol:

You're half right there, but maybe you know something we don't. Have we got a friendly against Milan or Liverpool ?

Lets just say we don't spend any time on Leeds message boards, but yet you can't help but check out ours.

You might want to ask the other NSC members about that, several of them are regular readers/posters on Leeds message boards.

The sad thing is before Risdale and co mortgaged the clubs future, Leeds had a very good, very young attacking team that was popular with neutrals.

Had they built things up organically they would probably be a UEFA Cup spot challenging team to this day.
