The Yew tree Arlington, get a right load up in there.

Huge portions, but 95% is pre-cooked from Brakes and then microwaved.
Electrician i know had a call out from them, he said the kitchen looked like a Curry's showroom

The Shepherd and dog at fulking used to be great. It might be a bit poncey now though looking at the website. I always like the Devils Dyke with the kids, not because its original or cheap, it's generic and expensive but you CANNOT beat the location or the walk afterwards. Especially on a clear winters day.

Oh don't worry the Shepherd and Dog still is very good indeed, poncy website or no poncy website lol l go there quite frequently, and yes you are right, nowhere to beat the Devil's Dyke on a cold winters day. A great place to walk off a really good lunch too.

The Lamb at Wartling used to be great, not been there for a few years though.

Always liked the George in Rye as well.

Depends on how far to the east you wish to go. The two pubs in Pett -two Sawyers and the Royal Oak are excellent. After you leave Hastings in the direction of Folkestone, on the A259, then Pett is a right turn about a mile from the end of the town.
Guten Appetit

Was treated last Saturday to a meal at the Carvery on the A259 in Peacehaven, very nice and great veg to help yourself to, but the plates were cold...
.

Isnt that standard carvery owned by M & B Pubs and run under the Crown Carvery banner, the same as The Sportsman at Withdean.

Heard good reports about the Rainbow at Cooksbridge lately.

Yes had a meal there a few weeks ago. Marco Pierre White bought it franchised it and then offloaded it...the food was excellent though and would go again!
