I'm happy for him, that's a great job, but also saddened because he should still be our manager.

Good luck, I just wish he was our no.2, highly competant coach and imo an excellent appointment for Southampton

Good luck to Dean i hope he get the standing ovation he deserved for his 20 years of service to the Albion when we play the Saints.

Dick pushed my patients as a loyal Albion fan the day he stab Dean in the back if it wasn't for our real saviour TB i probably would have never felt the same about the Albion again.

Good luck Dean.

Dick showed faith in Dean by elevating him to assistant coach and then giving him the job. Also ignoring calls from many Albion fans to sack him after a very difficult start.

Real Saviour? Give it a rest.

Harsh! I think Dean Wilkins earned his positions within the club rather than Dick elevating him.

Oh, I do agree. I did not phrase it as well as I should have done. We were a team on the slide and many Chairmen/boards would have opted for an old head as opposed to an untried rookie. You can see that sort of appointment happening at a relatively stable club, but not one without permission for a ground and in need of a massive squad rebuild.

Bof without getting into the Deano debate rslicker is right Dean deserved his shot and yes Knight gave it to him but then lost his marbles by bringing back MA.

As for Bloom being a real saviour he has been hasn't he?

Who else was going to pay for Falmer?

???

Sorry BigGully but what are you on about? Someone asked LB to merge two threads and you start having a dig?

Or shall I just keep out of it?

This is good news as it could lead to Hawkins and Livermore leaving on season long loans to Southampton.???

Get involved ....

There are many on here that I disagree with and I think there might be just a few who disagree with me.

But I am on LB's case and he knows it .....

I genuinely think that although many feel he is a voice of some crediblitiy, I dont.

LB you huff and puff and say very little other than the 'club line'.

I think the last time we locked horns you were comforting the converted that the money was in place for the stadium when it has become clear that it was not at the time.

Most gladly follow.

Good luck to Wilkins he deserves every success, no matter what LB doesn't say
