It was the only real sensible choice out there and with the contacts he has I'm sure he can bring 1 or 2 surprises in to aid the playing staff.

Will be interesting to see who comes in to aid the coaching staff as they are bodies light.

Contacts : means agents. As in Dean Wilkins doesn't have the contacts. This means he doesn't have agents selling him players like Turienzo for £200,000 while he recommends the freely available Chris Iwelumo to Colchester.

Thank God Wilkins doesn't have the contacts.

Whilst I wish him well, I think the club has missed a chance to bring real change to the management team by bringing someone in with new ideas and contacts.

We are also short of a Youth team coach and chief scout, something I hope the club will address in the next week or two. We really need to know who we want, and who is available to bring into the club in the January transfer window, and this is what Dean White was supposed to be doing.

Amazing to see so many instant judgements made already on their suitability.........me, I,ll wait until they,ve had at least a dozen games and see if they can persuade decent players or loanees to join the club. I hope to God Dick Knight realises that they desperately need some money made available to them too....!!!!!
