I thought Whites interviews was one of the more thoughtful and honest interviews I've heard from a "manager" at the club in a long while.

I've never blamed him for a minute blamed him for the situation we're in. He works tirelessly for the club in a number of capacities.

Agreed. I think the problem is that fans need to blame somebody for the situation. Its the way we live theses day, "its someones fault".

Yeah, i live miles away in Greece and ive never seen him train the players and raily go to games. (non this season ). But i think the problem is THE FANS, or more THE HOME FANS. There seems to be little or no confidence in the players (as in in them selfes). We really do need to get behind the lads at the next game.

White does not want us to fail, nor did adams. But something is wrong. It feels like the club and fans are not happy together at the moment. No one really knows who is in charge, and managers are getting sacked (wilkins) right or wrong for getting to 7th. Now we are faceing relegation and people want answers.

But he passed a fitness test and declared himself ready. I'd imagine with the injuries he has sustained over the years Hinshelwood would know whether he was capable of doing a job or not and the manager has to make a decision on that basis. The decision eventually proved to be incorrect but was only found out once he was on the pitch.
Given how many times he's played only for his knees to blow up again I'm not sure I agree with you! I didn't know he'd passed a fitness test though.

Maybe, although I'm not sure when he went out (Jan 1st I think but not sure if he got injured, recalled and loaned again?). To be pedantic, Cook was out on work experience, which means he can come back at any time (I think he can be registered for both clubs at the same time too).

McLeod has played up front for QPR in the past and has more experience than Gargan. Maybe in hindsight you'd have given someone else a go but I can see why he went with him.
You may be right about Cook, I think he was with them before Luton, then back for that game, then with them again. He'll train with us anyway since they're part time.
I'm not 100% on the rules, can't short term loans have instant/24 hour recall?

I don't say it with hindsight, as soon as it became obvious he was up front rather than it beng 4-5-1 or Cox in the hole or something I couldn't understand it. He's barely passable in his preferred position, and his main attribute is his crossing.

You can guarantee though that if he'd sent on Cook and played Whing out of position enough of the serial whingers on here would be moaning at White for players playing out of position when there was a perfectly adequate replacement on the bench. I know people who have used Malcolm Stuart as a physio in a private capacity and can categorically state that the Albion's medical side is run very professionally. If he's passed a fitness test then he should have been capable of playing though it was only obvious once he was on the pitch that it wasn't the case.

Hindsight is such a wonderful thing to have.

Yeah Cook can move between the clubs as he wishes. As for loans, If they're on a short term loan (up to 3 months) you can't recall them within 28 days. If you want to recall them after 28 days, you can only do so if you've agreed a recall deal with the club you've loaned the player to. However, even if you haven't, most clubs would allow the player to return to maintain good relations (I believe this was the case with the Bradley Johnson loan as we did or were going to let him go back early).

I don't think McLeod had a very good game but then I wouldn't concern myself with having him up front as the problem today. Very harsh pen decision gave them the edge for me.

Er, surely you hold back your last play of the cards until 10 minutes to go not 30 minutes. A decent manager would have considered a further injury.

Bringing on an injured player (Hinsh) to replace another (Elphick) was a great move either.

Oh come on, the general rule of thumb is that if a player is borderline on the injury front the physio will only allow the player to play if the player himself feels confident enough to play. I'm guessing that was the case, so hapless as he may be, White cannot take the rap for the injuries, in fact a massive amount of credit should be given to Whing who constantly looked in pain/rubbing his ankle throughout the game.

I think White and Booker got it wrong my not starting Carole - they would have been better starting with Gargan up front more than McLeod

Isnt Cook equally happy at either right back or centre back. If so he should have come on for Elphick. I think that both White and Booker should go but surely the fitness of players is down to Matt Miller the fitness coach not them two.

Pearson is a very promising young defender can play centre half or right back definite inclusion in the squad for me.

the decision was bold but White is clueless... his starting lineup was wrong, hence the need for Seb's late arrival...
