Slowly but surely Gus is bringing in HIS players!
The key thing there is to get rid of the worst players, you build a squad from the bottom up. Don't get rid of your better players, especially if the ones you bring in are not that much better.

id say CONSTANTLY given it large on the broadway constitutes his position as a pisshead

I've seen him in Savannahs a few times. Can't say that he was lashed up!

I'd imagine Dickinson may be off in the summer given his position in the squad under Poyet and the wage he is *reportedly* on - providing he has someone else lined up, which he probably will.

Adams comes across as being someone that wanted to be popular. Slade came across as someone that was just too nice.

Perhaps Poyet means business and wants to get rid of players that are not earning their wedge?

He played at the top. He worked hard to get there, and retiring really upset him (he has said this many times when a pundit on Sky/ITV) so I would imagine he is going to surround himself with players with HIS attitude and let us not forget that Cox has been dropped on more than one occaison (a couple of times even by Wilkins!) for his attitude. If Poyet doesn't think he's got the right mentality to put in the hard work for the team, then I'll trust Poyet's judgement and support him breaking up a squad which is doing sod all anyway.

He clearly disagrees with Forster, and he set a benchmark when he first took over by dropping the previously untouchable captain Virgo. He's a strong minded man and provided he can keep people on his side, he should be able to build a hard working and good side. It just takes time and it takes a preseason and clean slate at the start of the season to really make the changes he wants to make.

His reasons won't be obvious to us, but I trust he's doing what is right for the team and hopefully he'll be proven right. I don't think it will be long until Gary Hart gets a chance in the side, Poyet wants a good attitude and OGH certainly has that! His reappearance in the last few games doesn't suprise me.

Oh, I agree with you Bob! Personnally I want to keep Cox. Gus see things differently. At the end of the day, he's the manager and he lives or dies by his decision (I'm still backing him). We just don't know what goes on behind the scenes.

It is obvious that to say Poyet doesnt rate Slades signings is an understatement. I expect a couple of European players to be signed during the summer, probably Spanish.

Carole for Cox is just wrong - I just hope there is a much bigger plan and that it may be Lua Lua on a longer term deal and that he proves to be much better than what we have
