HHHMMM Dean Cox when subbed walked off the pitch very slowly when we were eager to get an equalizer, once off the pitch rumour has it he started slagging off his fellow team mates in front of the bench and staff. Michel is more remembered for going 'over the top' when sorting out his defense. IMO i can't see how these two are even comparable in attitude, Leon Shite is the obvious comparison

Michel is remembered for chucking his toy's out of the pram when he was dropped, and for differences in opinions particularly with Mcghee and MA. So there are similarities. I suspect that he will have apologised to team mates and they will rip the piss out of him. LK on the other hand most ceratinly wouldn't have apologised and would have continued to stir.

Last night I asked someone who works for the club why Cox wasn't playing, he answered, "Because he is a little turd". (Not really fair for me to say who said that)

i really havent rated him this season, he is bit of a one trick pony.

I just thought - I'm doing well with my shirt sponsorship.

So far, I have sponsored, or have been involved in sponsoring - Alexis Nicolas, Sebastien Carole and... Dean Cox.

Ooops.

Can you sponsor Ronaldo at Man U? As soon as the deed is done DK can nip in with a resonable offer and he is our man!

OOOOOOOOOO I love a witch hunt.

Can we drive him out to another club?

Christ, he has been poor this season but the kid has got skill - Just needs a rest/taken down a peg or two.

I agree. Out of all our players, he is the one that other teams say they wish they had.

Officially, Cox has five goals and six assists to his name this season, but as we all know, that doesn't really tell the whole story.

You're quite right, that doesn't include the 5 or 6 chances we didn't put away in the first half against Orient that he set up, in spite of which he still had abuse thrown at him and then got subbed. Doubt if too many of us could say we'd be jumping for joy if that happened to us.

Having said that, a friend of mine coached him when he was a kid years back, and said that he was a real talent but was a cocky little so and so even then!

Not so sure about that. Elphick is our Crown Jewel and any bid of under £ 500 000should be rejected out of hand.

Only what I've read on other forums. I'm pretty sure there are scouts watching Elphick but other fans haven't noticed him.

Elphick is a quality player with a superb attitude, a real great young pro with a great rapport with the fans. He will be playing Premiership football within 2-3 years.

i would be disapointed if Cox didnt show some sort of reaction to being subbed as it shows passion , but to slag of your team mates and generally show contempt for the team needs to be disciplined . At the end of the day he gets disciplined , he learns and draws from that experience at a later date and moves on . If he cannot do that then perhaps he is not the good pro we think or don't think he is . I for one hope he knuckles down and proves how good a player he can be . PS iam small !!

His attitude when he plays tonight against Lewes, will be very telling.Buckle down, work hard, play a blinder and its all forgotten or play like your not interested and sit in the ressies for the rest of the season and probably be sold off in the summer.

He's been an arrogant so-and-so during his entire spell at the Albion. The club persisted with him as a youth because he had enough about to him to make the grade. The occasional bouts of disrespect and backchat are nothing new and have always been dealt with appropriately. Wilkins will not allow such instances to unsettle the first team. After all, there are others (Robinson for example) further from automatic selection who bide their time on the bench, work hard, and conduct themselves maturely.
