The reason nobody has won £250000 is that, even if they have it in their box, they are likely to bail out when a decent offer is made. There have been quite a few £75k+ winners.

The only circumstances that the 250k will be won, are if someone is lucky enough to at least £250k plus two of the big numbers into the last five... AND they can afford to lose the money if they are unlucky.

I guess it will happen, but not often that someone will turn down £75k+ if there is a chance of losing it.

Enjoyable game though.

The only time I would risk it is if I had the £250000 and the £125000 left. I would expect the offer to be about £170000. Then to me because even if I lost I would win £125000 means that I would risk it.

No brainer.

No guarenteed £28000 or

a 50/50 change at either £750 or £75000

I would take the £28000

I saw the black kiddy get to £ 20000 and £ 250000 and turn down £ 102000. He stuck with the box on his table and truned down the chance to swap and GUESS WHAT he had the £ 20000

FIX.

How can it be fixed when he is offered the choice to swap boxes?

This is up there with the Queen killed Diana.

As someone said there are dwarfs under the boxes which have a slot at the bottom and they can swop the amounts very quickly without anyone noticing.

It is uncanny. It must be over 100 games now and with 22 boxes, the £ 250 k should have been in the box 5 times by now but it has never been in the box. This means the game is fixed and people must be switching on to this.

its been in once !

Exactly..only chance someone will risk it is if they know they have a decent box to fall back on ie 100k or 75k otherwise very few people indeed will take that gamble .. dont forget those who get on have been vetted so no one who is rich enough to gamble that amount is likely to get on the show

I did read in one of the papers in the past week (Can't remember which) that they have filmed someone winning the 250K which will be shown in June at some point.

Didn't mention anything about the midgets though.

It's filmed about two weeks in advance so must be soonish.

The average win is £16,716 by the way. The highest was £120k down to the three or four who took home 1p each.

Something I've picked up on

Anyone who is picked for the game always has a family member there (well, any game I've seen)

Does this mean that the family members for each person are at every single show, just in case their relative is in it?

I expect there is a logical reason why this is, and I'm just being useless

I read an article on Digital Spy last week, in it it mentioned how the players pick a numbered ball at random from a bag that is passed around, then given their corresponding box - therefore completely random.

The only non random part is that the contestant who gets to play is selected beforehand, basically when they've been on long enough and it gives Noel a chance to have some info on them.
