Yes, heaven forbid wishing players and staff well rather than a complete cuntfest from both sides (especially Sweden) every time they breathe for the rest of their careers
Oh yeah, thats been the common theme when facing former players...

But no point in arguing with the cult. If it was any other manager trying to sign a rapist, there would be a lot less "well-wishing".

Actually Huerzeler is the correct English spelling of his surname if you are not using the umlaut over the letter u.
Dropping the German umlaut in English is not uncommon - we write Handel and not Haendel

Edit: Wikipedia however tells us that his father was from Switzerland and Swiss (German + French) keyboards tend not to have the umlaut and ß characters, so his family name was likely originally typed Huerzeler

NoR, who studied German at London and Marburg uni’s, and lectured in Munich and Zurich (ooh, there we go again) for a couple of years

Where’s Herr Tubthumper when you need him?

No maybe about it. It’s the correct standard to add the e if you are typing a German word on a UK/US keyboard where you don’t have the umlaut vowels easily available.

In reality all 3 variations of the spelling of are surname are acceptable.
Sorry to crash Pedantry Corner, but TBTA typed ''Huezeler' (with no 'r' at all).

That is DEFIANTLY wrong :dunce:

I do realise that i've dived into a quality NSC spat without reading any of it and to set the scene, I love RDZ and TB.

I'm pleased that RDZ got a prime job at Marseilles, but looking at what we are spending this summer, and what Marseilles will have to spend, I can't help but feel RDZ may have been 'moved on'. Not that TB would ever use that phrase
