He’s not planning on resigning.
He wouldn’t have said this drama Queen nonsense if they were struggling in the league.

... let's bring in some more players in January ... moahaha!! Well, I think they'll reach Europe anyway, but this was kinda fun, never learn, has nothing to do with courage or personality.

Just contrasting the two reactions.

De Zerbi is box office. Graham is someone who works in a box office.

It’s a shame RDZ’s got a couple of sex cases playing for him as this would otherwise be tremendous entertainment that would inevitably end with him or their fans spontaneously combusting.

Meanwhile, at Brighton, where it matters, we’ve finally got the balance right after two extremes.
Greenwood, who’s the second?

A bit?

To me it reads like he's taking the responsibility, not being the diva that the first posts would have you believe
Still reads like a drama queen to me. Absolutely no need to repeatedly mention resignation…unless you want drama.

Or if they hadn’t just lost 1:3 to 6th place Auxerre at the Vélodrome, giving them only 1 win in 5 home games this season and conceding 6 goals in back to back home matches having lost 0:3 at home to PSG a few weeks ago.

It’s RDZ’s usual heart on the sleeve gripe when performances are under par, that the Club needs to spend more money and ‘expectations shouldn’t be too high’, ‘we’ve got a lower wage structure this season’, ‘we are restructuring’, ‘they have difficulty understanding the vision’ , blah blah blah. It remains to be seen if Marseille fans are as accommodating as we were with RDZ and will be mollified as long as they continue to remain in a Champions League spot or will react more like Chelsea fans.

We'll always have Marseille.
And Amsterdam.
And Athens.
And Rome.

Amazing the vitriol on here about the only manager in BHAFC history ever to deliver those incredible moments.

Yes he's a flawed individual. To misquote the bible: He who's not got a bit of a dick tendancies, throw the first post.

Almost as bad as the anti-Potter rhetoric.

Both had their good points and both were not perfect. Hughton after Hyypia absolute dross was brilliant. Potter after CH relegation fodder football, was a revelation. RDZ after Potter toothless attacks was phenomenal.

I loved them all at their times.

Funny. And oh so predictable. Bell end ego maniac.

He’s really not as good as he thinks he is.
His team are not nearly as good as they need to be for him to succeed (which is: the very best team of footballers in the history of footballs, ever).

The full quote:
"I have to take responsibility for this home defeat. We have difficulties at home, that’s clear. I don't know whether it’s a lack of courage or personality. I came here to play at the Vélodrome because I wanted to live that experience. If the problem is me, I’m ready to leave. I’ll leave without the money, I don’t care about the rest. I don’t want to make excuses and talk nonsense. I’m not going to escape, we have to face reality. That’s what I have to do… I repeat if I’m the problem, I have to leave"

I think the partial quote above is a bit misleading. He seems much more sincere in the full quote.

It is a bit weird though. They're 2nd in the table and lost to a team on a decent run of form so he's not exactly doing badly. Remember that they finished 8th and didn't even qualify for Europe last season.
I think he's trying to put pressure on himself to do better by staking his resignation. I guess he thinks Marseille should be genuine title challengers.
Let's not spoil a good story with so-called facts.

This is NSC

The 'success' at Brighton certainly boosted his stock, but also did similar to the man's ego.
He obviously enjoys such slightly off centre behaviour, but support soon fades if things falter.
As mentioned, José experienced similar.
I hope he gets his head down and succeeds.

But who doesn't like a bit of schadenfreude?

Of course I felt regret when he left. But then it transpires that he's been flogging our players like 1930s Yorkshire pit ponies. Our entire medical team is then mysteriously replaced. Complicit?

And when asked what it is like working with the new manager (young Fab) our number 2 goal keeper lets slip that "It's like a breath of fresh air".

I think some of us are allowed the occasional chuckle at the Italian's latest folly. Even if we felt like we had been jilted at the time by a young buck who found us a little too prim. ???
