Can anyone actually mention a game where we have won the midfield battle all season? Really don’t get the point of having 3 CM like we have over the past 3/4 months if we still don’t take control of midfield.

Every time we get the ball it feels like there’s about 6 more players in the middle of the park than us, absolutely baffles me how we have carried on without any creativity through the middle of midfield

Barely any in 20 months.

ManU when their players were trying to get Mourinho the sack, Swansea at home last season, West Ham at home last season, Watford at home this.

Other than that, outclassed in CM in the main. We’ve chiselled out our rare results, inspite of that.

Whether we stay up or drop, that’s shirley the no1 squad requirement this summer.

I have no idea what Kayal has to do to get a game. He tackles, he goes forward, he covers. Propper does none of these things at the moment.

He has escaped criticism by not being as bad as others, but he offers almost nothing. Kayal must be a better option

Propper is a high quality midfielder - interceptions, passes, intelligent positioning. He's not an ankle nibbling, chase everything kind of player but he certainly does his share of tackling and blocking and is smart enough to win the ball without having to make risky tackles. He has a great touch as well. I would be thrilled if he was also scoring 8 -10 goals a season but even without goals he is consistently one of our best players match after match. As mentioned above, he is one of our players who would not look out of place in a top side.

Shame he has played like an utter donkey for us. Not like he has to put *much* effort in to look like the best midfielder on the pitch (#WhereIsBeram) given the competition but he can't even be arsed to do that.

Another player who would improve the team by NOT coming to the ground on match day at the moment.

When Propper performs well the Albion perform well but over recent months he's not been on his game and I don't thinks he's improved from last season. If we were going to kick on without Gross then Propper needed to have a much better season than he's had.

I think he has talent and could cut it in the Prem, albeit in a different system and under a different manager.

THIS!!!! Stephens plays better with Kayal too. And, btw, I think Propper is a wonderful footballer but he's been off it for a few games now and he was AWFUL last night. DS by comparison at least tried!

If i never see him in a Brighton shirt again it will be too soon , Watch that game again and you will see FIVE times he fails to even attempt to go up for a headed challenge ! WTF is that all about ! , and please if anyone fancies coming back with a oh but he's classy or he's out of position then i'm sorry my friend you simply don't become a good footballer flicking the ball through peoples legs here and there , now and then , iv'e bit my lip for so long over this bloke but seriously the bloke is so lightweight and shit scared of heading the ball ! FFS that's just no right , ship him out , lazy non trying Ozil wannabe .

Propper has somehow had a free ride this season. He's been utter shithouse.

Zero assists, 1 goal (a late consolation). I waited most of the season to see him actually DO something, but other than a couple of nice pirouettes and a flash touch here and there, he was anonymous. This is not a player who steps up. I hope Potter can get a tune out of him, maybe playing him 15 yards further forward. Stephens got dogs abuse all year, but Dave was no better.

16 goals in 67 for PSV
1 goal in 65 for us.

We seem to specialise in turning players into shit.

I often wondered this season how, whilst our central defenders were fully used (!), our midfielders and attackers were given little opportunity to show what they are capable of.

I believe that we should turn the page. So often players were said to be under performing in matches that they saw little opportunity in. Next season we will see whether or not those who are given a chance to prove themselves in another set up are up to it.

Good to see Propper in the Dutch team. He's done well at that level. Hopefully things will move on.

Maybe, but shit house for us! If he is one of he best Dutch players it really isn’t good for them!

They're a much improved side now. You only have to look at Ajax to see that.
