So if we sign Healey it will be interesting to see how he works in the system. In some ways he strikes me as more Holroyd than Murray or Barnes?

Jesus I can't believe the complete over-reaction towards TCB.

I am much more inclined to see people's views on a player when they are not these fickle fuckers who were probably moaning and telling Murray to f*** off last season because they thought he was "f***ing SHIT AND WELL OUT OF ORDER FOR NOT CLAPPING!!!!!" who are now shoving their noses up his arse because we are top of the league.

TCB doesn't rate crofts, didn't when he was here, and hasn't suddenly changed his opinion? Whoopdefucking wooh. What is the big deal?

I disagree with him to an extent about Barnes, I think he will turn good, but that's not to deny that his misses have cost us 4 points in the last month alone.

Do the decent thing and resign as a moderator of this site. It's an insult to all of us with a brain that you continue to cock-up the task so badly.
Why don't you resign from nsc as you have a habbit of slagging players off and acting like a dickhead with your bum chum WW.
This place would be far better off without the moaning.

Glad to hear he is doing well by all accounts, but was only good for us. People on here do seem to be larging him up in a big way, considering 70% of this board said he'd struggle at the higher level and were suprised Norwich were interested.

Isn't that the truth. Sadly much of nsc is populated by people who can only go with what everyone else is saying and doubting a player liked by the majority obviously makes you a "dickhead". I am going to leave the assorted bunch of unemployed wasters, failures and criminals and get back to work. Cheers, it's been fun:thumbsup:

Would you not admit though that you tend to very often be a contrary fellow? It almost seems gratuitous. Can you understand that this irks some people?

Shall I start a poll to see which people think they are? I'm not sure if I'm a criminal or a failure. :lolol::lolol:

Would Crofts get in our team this season? No. Is he better than Radostin the beast? No. Is he better than Dicker? No. Is he better than Sparrow? Overall I'd comfortably say no, although Sparrow had a couple of poor games for us admittedly. The point is we've set the standard this season of what you need to be flying in this division, and I'm pretty sure 99% of the players I've criticised in recent years wouldn't get in this team, making me RIGHT to doubt them:thumbsup:

As you've gone back to work can I say something without getting sworn at?

Good.

Crofts would be in the side as Gus would have picked him and probably wouldn't sign Sparrow. Whether he;s good enough or not is a moot point, and I never saw Crofts play so I can only go on others opinions.

I'm 100% sure players you've criticised in recent years wouldn't get in the team, well, leave aside Brezovan, El-Abd, Barnes and probably a few others, but that's by-the-by. Point is, of course Tommy Fraser isn't good enough for this team, but he did put a good shift in when we were fighting relegation so we recognised that and didn't have a go, even though we knew we needed better. You know your criticism was over the top. You also know this is an irrelevant, often juvenile message board, so fair play, but many of us take it kinda personally

And obviously that has a lot of bearing on last season doesn't it. You can't even moderate a messageboard without making yourself look an idiot, so forgive me for not taking your opinion too seriously. And why aren't you banned anyway?

If your talking about the same Crofts who is playing for Wales, playing in the Norwich team who are 3rd or so in the league above and has, according to Norwich fans, been one of their best performers so far this season... then yes I think he probably would get into our team to be honest. He was the captain before he left so had he still been here I think he would have been a shoe-in. Obviously thats just my opinion. Had he still been here there would have been no need to get Kish etc as a replacement...

You do seem to have a massive problem with Barnes. He's young, he has obvious talent. He has the potential to be a very very good player and has already had a fantastic input into our success so far this season. Some people just dont appreciate how good of a footballer you need to be to be playing at this standard. Its all about having the strikers instinct and he constantly gets into great positions. His positional awareness and link up play is top notch, and the more he gets into the positions he gets into the more goals he will score! He just needs to be a bit more composed infront of goal and that often comes with experience.

IMHO David Healy would be a great signing. He has the potential to be a promotion winning signing at this level if he hits form, and even if he doesnt perform and doesnt score goals, his presence would hopefully boost the performances of the strikers we already have.

You genuinely believe Crofts wouldn't get in our team now, do you? He would easily get in it if he was here. I'm not saying Sparrow, Dicker, Kishishev and Bridcutt haven't done well, they have been exceptional so far, but if Crofts was here:

A) We wouldn't be having this discussion as Sparrow would not have been signed. It is open to opinion as to who is better, and I'm not saying they would be competing for one midfield spot, but the fact that Sparrow did not regularly feature for a poor Championship side and Crofts is one of the players of the season for the team currently third in that division should tell you something. You won't admit it though, even if you do secretely believe Crofts would get in this team, as that would mean you going back on your initial opinion.

B) We have not had a set midfield this year, and none of them have started every game. On that basis, Crofts would have played regularly, I would imaginge he would have been one of the first on the team sheet.

Your usual arguments about players you take a dislike to (they shouldn't be in a side competing for promotion from League One) can be given some credence purely because it is difficult to disprove an opinion (even though the entire squad currently ARE competing for promotion). Crofts, on the other hand, is currently a regular in a side competing for promotion to the Premier League! This in itself would suggest your opinion on him is distorted or, at best, wrong.

A couple of points.

1. How did he "make" us play? He wasn't a creative player really.
2. Our best midfield performance (by a country mile) all season was without him.

I don't go nearly as far as TCB, but I do think Crofts was over-rated by some on here.

1. This is where some people seemingly fail to understand what 'making us play' means. You generally talk a lot of sense on here, and I can respect your opinion on Crofts, but when I say he made us play I don't mean he got the ball, skinned the back four twice before planting the ball on Murray's head for a goal, I mean he won the ball back from the opposition and gave the ball to more creative players such as Bennett or LuaLua.

He was also good on the ball, brilliant in the air, excellent at tackling and scored goals. This, as well as feeding our creative players, constitutes 'making us play'. Would you not say Navarro is vital to making us play when he is fit? He's not a creative player either.

2. I'm not sure which performance you're referring to here? It was of course not impossible to play well without Crofts, as with any player, but we were certainly a more effective unit with him in the side. Take Hartlepool for example, we were terrible and missed Crofts badly that day.

So, on that basis, you're saying Craig Bellamy wouldn't get picked over Marlon Harewood?

Nope, you need to earn to read

What im saying is Crofts is proving he is a quality player in the division above, also that in my opinion he would get in the side in front of those three.

You pick the stupidest comparisions possible to prove your worthless and ill judged opinions. I respect most peoples views on here whether i agree with them or not because MOST people on here have an opinion based on players ability, you however spout rubbish and insults based on nothing more than your narrow minded views of players and what would appear as a limited knowledge of the game.

Fair points. I can't argue with any of that. I never faulted his work rate at all, I just felt was a wee bit limited as a player at times, considering he was often the midfielder in the most attacking position at the club.

My apologies, that's what happens when you rush. If I have to put up with your deranged and often offensive posts then you can put up with my poor English. At the end of the day you take great delight in criticising and abusing players which speak volumes about you, and normally means whoever is on the receiving end is:-

1. Not FDM
2. Doing a good job

As Billy Connelly might say… ‘it’s not anger management you need … It’s a bloody good kick up the arse’
