Terrible news with which to start a miserable week

So grateful to have seen him live in Manchester.

My god. Sad. I was just marvelling about how wonderful his new album is to everyone yesterday. Went out on a high I guess.

Hugely upsetting, and the shittest way to start the week. I spent a lot of yesterday listening to his new album, which only came out on Friday - the best thing he has released for many years.

In my early teens, Bowie was everything to me. Shocked.

I got the Space Oddity single as a Christmas present in 1975 age 10. Pre-teens Bowie was one of a handful artists that made an impresssion on me, along with Bolan, Slade, T-Rex and Sweet. All I think are still worth a listen, but none have endured, morphed and re-invented themselves, like Bowie. What a talent and a life worth celebrating. RIP
