I think you will find that ****** can also relate to a shade of brown, and was a popular dogs name at one time, as a result of Guy Gibson's dog being called it in The Damn Busters film. That was obvioulsy before the PC brigade got so worried about offending everyone. The irony is that our coloured friends call each other by that name regularly in public!

Again I think you've missed the point slightly, but again you are correct: the mods do their job as they see fit. Sometimes I think they do a good job, and sometimes I think they're f***ing inconsistently useless. Either way it's outside my control. But why shouldn't I complain? People moan about the weather when there's f*** all they can do about it.

I can't speak for all the mods, but the 'job' I do here is very often governed by the fact that I haven't spent the whole day / evening / night reading everything that is posted on NSC.

Well, given he's been banned from here a year i'm not sure that's an issue. Herbicide runs another site he's now on.

I must confess I'm not sure what your original point was.

The only way that the mods can be consistent is it we are automotans, or a Borg (as per Star Trek) like creature, which we're not.

Even at mod towers we have disagreements, but keep them in house, and there is a gentleman's agreement that we will not comment on or reverse decisions made by other mods.

Our views are diverse as those of the rest of NSC on a number of issues, such as which is best Take That or Boyzone? Glenn Murray, misunderstood Berbatov of League 1 or lazy bastard? What's better, a soapy titwank or a reacharound? etc.

I can't stand Das Reich, and was ITCHING to find a reason for him to be kicked out of NSC for a long long time. We took the view that the use of a name linked to the Waffen SS was unpleasant, but not in itself justification of a banning, as otherwise should the same extend to a name such as Joy Division, again with Nazi connotations.

As for Sambo, I associate it with tedious chucklesome shitcom Love They Neighbour from the 1970's

To repeat then what I said earlier (with apologies to everybody else for bouncing this again). My point was you quoted my post, and then edited it to try and prove that sambo is the same as ******. It isn't. Today in 21st century Britain ****** is only ever used with racist connontations and sambo isn't. And I really haven't met anybody called Nigel who likes to be called '******' for short, but I have met a few Sambos. Are you with me now? Of course if you personally find it offensive and wish to force a name change being a mod that is your privilige.
