We’re getting to that stage where options are very very limited. We are a little desperate.

If we want back-up for Connolly & Maupay getting injured or suspended, I’d prefer Wellbeck getting the nod ahead of Zeqiri (who has only been tested against teams on the same level as Crawley Town).

If you don’t think we need back-up, fair enough. That seems to be the club line.

If we are desperate, we would have signed someone in the transfer window, not signing one now in my opinion

Brighton factually.....
@£100k a week no wonder he was released, we won't pay that end of thread.

Actually has Palace, Newcastle or Leeds written all over it

It's also wrong. He's scored 72 goals at club level and 16 at international level.

As well as suffering from unfortunate injuries, he has also been played out wide a lot too.

IF his salary expectations were sensible and he passed the NDP why wouldn't we consider him. GP and the team may be able to get something from him.

It won't happen, but I don't get the negativity about players who have not achieved inter gallactic status due to vcircumstances beyond their control.

Unlike Andone for example who dry humped himself. . . . and ticked every box of the NDP in 5 seconds flat

Welbeck, or 'Welbz' as he's affectionately know would be a fantastic signing on a free. It's his injuries that are the reason why we might have a sniff of signing him instead one of the truly big British or European clubs.

I think we’ll go again in January for the young £20m+ striker. Conditions not right in this window.

In the meantime we are probably after a free transfer like Lallana to get us to January.

We’re still in a transfer window of sorts, Pukki, Deeney or Wellbeck seem like ideal squad players who could do a job if Maupay and Connolly can’t play or perhaps offer something different against teams like Everton.

That suggests a deal has been struck, otherwise they'd likely be announcing that they're releasing him.
does Bozza know something we don't

initially I was a No to Welbeck, but the more I think about it the more it would not be a bad move. I have no idea how fit he is currently though..

Anyone would do is a bit mean I would suggest... 40 odd England caps and 16 goals... would signing him be any different to Lallana... and he's only 29 still....

Sign him on an Andy Carroll type contract, low base pay with additional for available, bench and games. Give a small release fee and it’s a win win contract
