Can't really recall him being a noted d**khead at Leicester so not sure if its just a case of having £100k/week and nothing else to do or he was more under the radar at Leicester?

Either way, if he can recapture some level of his pre-chelsea form then if nothing else it would certainly over-come the 'we are too nice', 'we don't have many leaders on the pitch' criticism that is often thrown at the players/club!

While Sarri not fancying him is one thing if Lampard, who should know a midfield player, doesn’t during a transfer ban then I’d say he’s either trouble or bang out of form or both. However, as someone else just said that was the sort of player Potter embraced at Ostersunds so this may well have legs. If it has more legs than Danny then it could end up a massive mistake.

Chelsea have Jorginho and Kovacic fighting it out to partner Kante in midfield, so no disgrace being 3rd choice behind those 2 in selection.

From what I've read, he seems very popular in the changing room, not at all a dickhead.

Imo he would be an upgrade on either Stephens or Propper in the 2 of a 4231 formation. But acording to reports, he struggled when Sarri played 433, so this maybe an issue if that's Potters plan.

Would be an upgrade on Stephens but questionable character and wouldn't help with our lack of pace. Not sure, but if there aren't any better options available he would still improve our team.

Just checked his contract at transfermrkt.com, he still has 3 years left.

So a one year loan makes sense, but there is very little chance we'd be interested in buying him next summer, even if he smashed it.

Interestingly transfermarkt compare him to 2 players, Tom Cleverly and our own Dale Stephens. 2 players who divide their own clubs fans because of their negative passing style.

If we can take him, paying a small percentage of his salary Frank saves enough to cover the weekly boardroom drinks bill and frees up a squad space.
He might fancy a last chance to show he's a top midfielder at a decent club.
Worth a punt,I'll go pick him up and drive him here myself because, let's be honest, someone's going to have to.

Is he really a bad boy then? If so, I cannot see it happening TBH. Calling Brian Owen for the likely No.

If what Owen Said is true the Mail really are a joke. The Sun (hate to say it) are way more reliable...

It's a wonder anybody even believed it for a second.

He's barely played any first team football, just got slapped with a drink-driving charge and generally considered a ****ing dickhead.

There's also the small fact of him likely going through the motions as he is still paid a small fortune by his parent club, what drive/motivation is he going to have to play for us?

As someone has suggested, perhaps touting himself to Chinese suitors would be some motivation to put in a couple of shifts.

Thank ****ing christ this one has been dismissed early - next.

RB is not a priority!!?? Have they lost their marbles!!??

Webster can play right back apparently. Our own Max has also played at RB in pre season, and if needed Balo can step in if Montoya is injured.

Potter possibly thinks we’re well covered in this area, I’m mostly inclined to agree.

I disagree. One specialist RB is not good enough. Square pegs in round holes is a HUGE mistake in the Prem.
