Strange reinvention of history that Danny C was suddenly never any more than a thug and a bully. Danny C was the living embodiment of the Albion fighting spirit under Micky Adams - and if that meant the likes of Pethick and Harding getting the occasional physical or verbal reminder to get stuck in, then so be it. Don't remember anybody complaining at the time.

Danny Cullip = TRUE Albion Legend

if he's not good enough to get in QPR's team then why would we want him? If hes not good enough for a struggling Championship team why would he be good enough for a pushing-for-play-off's League 1 team? He's a bit past it now and would unsettle things, espicially with the young players.

I think the decision to offload him along with a few others is based around the purchases we are expecting to make in January. If I'm honest, I can't understand why he didn't play more for us this season, given that he was credited by John Gregory with playing a major role in keeping us up last season. It's not as though our defence has been solid without him!

He is a leader, of sorts, and some respond to the odd bollicking.

Sometimes i've watched the Albion roll over & die, being bullied out of games by the opposition. having a bully in our squad is not a bad thing, aqlthough I'm not saying that Cullip could take on that role again.

We've probably seen the best of him, let him stay a legend.

Cullip was a great player for that period of Albion history, that cannot be disputed. However both he and the club have moved on. His latter days seem to be clouded by rumours of his attitude towards other players and frankly he is now past his sell buy date. If he came back on a pay and you play basis I can't see it doing any harm. I think that I would prefer him to say Kerry Mayo for instance.
