Is 'Training with the Albion' a euphemism for 'On our treatment table' ?

How anyone on here can claim to know what DC was/is like is beyond me? Any of you know him personally or spend allot of time at training/in the dressing room?

All I know is that he was one of the best players to wear the stripes in recent years and if he shows the commitment and puts in the performances he did back in the day I'd be delighted to have him back.

Only had to watch him on the pitch to see how he bullied the younger players. Our defence was so so much better after he left.

At the end of the day he did a great job for us and I think we ultimately had the best 5 odd years of his career. Time to move on - I think Elphick & Lynch are ultimately the longer term future and we've also got Hinsh who not withstanding all his injury problems is another decent centre half.

Enjoy the memories but look to the future.

He is training with us though. The thread starter is right this time round.

If he is no one has spied him! Cant see him wanting to join in with a double session on Xmas Eve and a 9.30am start on Xmas day either!

Spot on. Anyway, if he's not good enough to get in QPR's team then why would we want him? If hes not good enough for a struggling Championship team why would he be good enough for a pushing-for-play-off's League 1 team? He's a bit past it now and would unsettle things, espicially with the young players.

Just out of interest, what sort of stuff will you do on xmas eve? Will it be all runs and sprints and things. Or will it be in the gym, or do you play 5-a-sides and practice set peices etc?

I dont do any of that on Xmas Eve, I will be dusting and hoovering and getting the house ready, I wont get time to play a 5- a-side and dont ever do runs or sprints!! :p

I think they do stuff outside then in the gym tomorrow, and probably on Xmas day prepare for the game.

He was always such a quiet chap and easy to miss. Maybe he was just jogging around a bit, not getting involved?

Well he wasnt at their Xmas drinky-poos yesterday, although he might not have recognised any of them as they were all in fancy dress! Oh and if anyone out and about in Brighton today finds a hideous looking ginger beard and matching eyebrows and a huge tartan hat Tank seems to have misplaced them

His house in Newick/Chailey, not sure where the boundary is, was For Sale, then To Let now hasn't any boards outside so not really sure. His car hasnt been there for some time so I would assume that he has moved .

f*** me thats a bit harsh! how long has that SLAVEDRIVER wilkins called them in for on xmas day?

Dunno but it shouldnt be too long a session, last Xmas day he was home by about 12.00ish I think. I dont think McGhee had them in on Xmas day and that was a luxury but it's the norm really for most teams, he gets out of peeling spuds and sprouts and comes in to the smell of dinner cooking so it's not all bad!

I see him at least once a week driving around Haywards Heath in a black Range Rover with a C1LLIP (or something similar) number plate. He's met up with Michel in Costa coffee once or twice as well.

Surely it's not unknown for out of contract players to do some training with their local team?

Doesn't have to mean there's anything in it.

I think that it is 611LIP but wouldnt argue. It says on another thread about old pl;ayers at Withdean that he was overheard saying he is training with Millwall.
