We are crying out for a player like Maddison at Leicester who gets the ball and picks out intelligent positive passes that help Leicester attack with real pace and pull teams all over the place.

Thats not saying Stephens is not giving his all or is doing his job to the best of his ability just for me a key position we need to be looking at to improve

Maddison? Is that the guy who plays in front of the midfield and not behind it?

Thats the one and I was referring to securing someone with his passing ability and vision not suggesting Stephens is a number 10! We are too slow moving the ball from back to front so would like to see our midfield equipped with players who have the technical ability to move the ball more quickly and intelligently and not constantly slowing down play. Happy to have someone sitting and ticking things over just without 3 touches to control the ball and with a greater range of passing

Sift your way through that. Seems to me if Stephens is as poor as you think then so are the rest of our midfield.

Now that interesting, thanks for that.
I do love Kayal, and all he's done for us, but from watching him I've felt his passing just isn't up to this level, so glad to see that verified. That's not to say that he doesn't have other qualities, but passing ability becomes all the more important the higher the level in my view.

Dale was brilliant. Thought Bernardo was fantastic as well, especially first half. And Dunk. And Duffy. Oh, and..... [emoji23] [emoji23]

I tell you what, for Dunk to pip Stephens to motm today tells you how good Dunk was.

Lovely forward diagonal ball to set Knocky up too.

I think he was playing the ball back to Dunk only for it to take a deflection to Knockaert.

Stephens made more passes, clearances and tackles than any other Albion player.

And released AK for the winner.

BBC Sport's MOTM.

However, the Albion 'fan' behind me thought he was - and I quote - "a c**t".

Far too many clueless Albion fans think the same and they will not be changing their opinion. It’s Barnes all over again.
