The word up here is that we're getting Stephens for £2 million and you're signing Barton until the end of the season, on wages of £50,000 a week.
If anyone wants to call me a liar then I can be in Brighton (or Hove) within 9 hours to sort it out, depending on my Ford Anglia.

I really can't think of any NSC posters who go to the press conference.
Are there any ?
I think BHACHAZZY does. I have seen him there a few times.

Would be good, but I just hope he helps us get promotion. We still live in hope that he will sign a new contract with us.
Well that's just it - the value is what someone is prepared to pay and what we're prepared to accept. If a PL team really want him now, it makes no difference to them if he's got 6 months left or 2 years. It only matters if they're after a bargain, which we won't accept. So it's possible a club would offer serious money, but I assume Burnley are happy with the choice they made so unlikely anyone is after him that much. The value of him in the last 6 months will be so small it won't be worth bothering about

No no no. I go there to ask the gaffer and the boys questions. And also to have occasional 'bants' with Johnny and Andy.
But I do sometimes set out the chairs.
He's not holding talks with the club over a new contract. I think he will not sign even when the club gets promoted .
