It puts us in a dilemma, who to score goals from midfield, who to have he physical presence in midfield, who to take the free kicks?

Absolutely it does. His absence from the first 11 / squad in recent weeks was surely indicative of the fact that he was spitting the dummy. We were obviously going to have to let him leave so why not do it before transfer deadline day to give us the opportunity to get in a replacement.

Now what? We let him go with no time to source a replacement or make him stay so he can throw the "Bridcutt Strop". What joy.
