8 in 50 for us but only scored about 2 others as a senior.Alan Duffy
Think it was Colchester or someone… I’m thinking of the name now and not cheating….

Mark Wright signed in June 2009 and left in September of the same year. Made 3 appearances apparently although I can't recall them.I'm sure we signed and sold a player in the same window back at Withdean?
He was born to do it, but he ended up walking away.Craig Davis - looked like he was trying too hard and was really desperate to score but it just didn't happen for him and then some fans turned, forcing him out. He was then successful at the clubs he played for after he 'd left us
Alan Biley. A real 'name' player in his day. Rubbish here.
But they both had great hair - doesn't that count?Frank Stapleton
That's the one!We signed Mark Wright from MK Dons on the 19th of June 2009 and then sold him to Bristol Rovers on the 1st of September in the same window.

The Paul Holsgrove signing and sale happened in the summer of 1998, so would have been in the summer break between the 2 seasons at Gillingham.Pretty sure we signed him from Stoke on a free in the close season between leaving Gillingham and playing at Withdean, sure he played in friendlies and then we sold him to Hibernian for 100k before the season kicked off. Stand to be corrected though.
Boom! That’s the fella… Before TOWIE existed too…We signed Mark Wright from MK Dons on the 19th of June 2009 and then sold him to Bristol Rovers on the 1st of September in the same window.

I was thinking about that Reading Friday night game the other day randomly. Kitson scored a goal he scored a goal he scored a goal he scored a….Paul 'sicknote' Kitson. Constantly broken, clearly couldn't be arsed.
That was injury wasn't it. I don't really get this "didn't work out" thing. Why didn't it? Player couldn'tWill Hoskins. I was genuinely excited when we signed him.
Didn't he put in the cross for Ulloa to score thus causing this :Craig Mackail-Smith, put in the effort tbf, just didnt have the impact we hoped from previous form.
actually, thats poor example, we do remember him fondly even if not scoring.
Didn't he put in the cross for Ulloa to score thus causing this :
If so, he's a legend just for that
Edit: He did
Ah the Ryan/Hughton game.Remember the sitter he missed at Selhurst in 1985?
I will stand corrected but that could have been the difference between failure and the third prmotion spot?
