I've registered but...... now I can't find the NSC league to join! Am I being unbelievably thick?
If you're going to be this much hard work, you're not playing

Greetings cycling geeks.

I've been at the Olympic velodrome today, doing some work STUFF. If you want I'll post some really boring photos of it.

Been of the Radar, but well excited that this time next week the Tour will be in full flow, just sad i will not be in Belguim for the start.

I have just seen the SKY line up and it is strong, if CAV was not riding could have really been a full on support team for Bradley, this really could be an epic if Wiggo performs. When or where is the TDF thread starting..

Team Sky squad for Tour de France: Bradley Wiggins, Mark Cavendish, Edvald Boasson Hagen, Bernhard Eisel, Chris Froome, Christian Knees, Richie Porte, Michael Rogers and Kanstantsin Siutsou

Loving the 'when is the thread starting...', every year it's the same, and every year it gets earlier
T'is a good time to be an English cycling fan.

I'm sure it will be off and running early next week.

In fairly only Bernie is there for Cav.
He'll get a lead out from Edvald, Mick and perhaps one other, on the chosen stages.
Other than that it'll just be a 7 and 2 team.

Looks like a more settled TdF rider list up now, so just having an early selection test so I've got a base up that I can tinker with up until Friday night and confirmation.

It's bloody hard again ! 3 decent star riders in and my money's nearly spent ! They certainly run a tight ship.

My PC is now in shipping so will have to do an early pick on my mobile tomorrow before I fly Wednesday.

That's a really lame excuse. Best get the excuses in early though I suppose.

:jester:

Have a safe flight mate, and once again, here's wishing you all the very best for the future over there. I'm sure you're going to love it !

Just got myself a hack/ commute bike until my babies turn up. Not got around to riding it yet as the brakes are undergoing a major overhaul (in the kitchen of course).

It's a 1986 Peugeot Tourmalet. Nothing fancy about it, but it is a lovely weight for a 25+ year old bike.

I have recently got back into cycling, instead of just following events on the track and road on TV, and am bloody loving it.
I think i'm boring non-cycling friends with my re-found enthusiasm though so maybe this is the place to be!

how serious is everyone on here? touring, racing etc. what are you guys all riding? are there other pictures on here besides the one on this page? i could dig one out of my bike if that's the done thing...

i have to say i got back into it mainly because i love the bike i bought. It's as old as me (a touch over 30) and really rather lovely!
Am considering upgrading already though so I have a more modern machine to compliment it. Thinking I need a helping hand up some of the bigger slopes I am aiming toward.

anyone have any nice routes to recommend in sussex or beyond?

Blimey Mani, calm down!!

There are few pics littered around the cycling threads, certainly not enough, so post away.

You'll find the gears and ride handling a joy on an upgrade of 30+ years, but remember it's not all about the bike.

Personally I think we are spoilt living in Sussex, for many many reasons.
But cycling wise you've got a bit of everything, flat, rolling, and climbs all within a warm up ride of most front doors.

Anyone got any experience of wrapping bars? Any tips you can send around the world?
Yeah I have and I still can't do it

This time last year, I rebuilt that whole bike, from scrap.
The last thing was bar tape and I just couldn't do it.

There's plenty of you tube videos about.
I think it was the Liquigas fella who does the bike in about 30 secs, not very helpful!.
