Pellizotti was 16th. Niemiec was 12th.

Always a pleasure chaps, it's certainly more enjoyable watching with 'company'.

I'm off for a potter about, 'see you all' later tonight.

They've done pretty well there. Still looks like a proper day in the mountains, without the crazy high summits, could have been a lot worse.

Whatever the new stage profiles for the next two days, we've got a great Young riders comp going on between Majka & Betancur to look forward to. It's a given that Betancur will attack because he's that kind of exciting rider, but I think Majka knows it's coming and might be up for the 'attack is the best form of defence' method himself. I'm hoping it's going to be a classic battle.

The Scarponi, Uran, Evans podium battle should be good too but it's the above I'm looking forward to the most.

I guess it's standard practice.
Get popped, race on while the t's are crossed etc, and get your face seem as much as possible.

It's snowing here in the Cham valley so must be pretty heavy up there! Our Garda office has had to shut due to bad weather, madness!
Don't worry it'll soon be Summer.

Oh FFS!, Di Luca you utter wanker! And no racing today either, but little point in ranting at the weather. Sod the stage cancellation news, it's the Di Luca news that really hurts (even though we all know about that generation).

On a me me me level - took a days leave for today's stage watching and allotment morning again, and again it rains and now no stage either. And when will I learn to wait until the morning for fantasy transfers when I don't have work. Took the extra transfer hit last night to get Di Luca in for Mezgec to cover all bases seeing how he was riding like a loon and in every sodding break going. Now we know why he was riding like a loon, the tosser! Fantasy team stuff is just a game, nonsense really, even though it tends to take over, but the positive test crap really hits hard each time, however much we all see it coming :(

I think there's a sliding scale of shock, with each new positive.

In the fullness of time this one will hardly register.
TBH, it's not really registering now, how he responses will decide how it's viewed.
If he comes at it with a 't'is a fair cop' attitude, then it's nothing.
I just hope he doesn't drag it out Valverde/Contador stylee.

A finger pointing confession is certainly too much to ask for.

Oh and if it's raining in lesser Sussex, I'd better get to the shops now!

Di Luca has to be the least surprising positive ever!... We'll maybe ricco.

If this doesn't get him a lifetime ban then what will... Ridiculous.

Slightly more disturbing on a human level are the GW1516 positives. Google it and take a look at the risks, the fact that people would put this into their body is crazy.

My 'PED Tzar' alter ego, came across mentions of that stuff a few weeks ago in America, I think.

I've been a bit slow catching up.
I guess the predictability of it all can be pretty numbing (along with a 1001 other adjectives).
