My fragile disposition couldnt take the rejection anymore!!!
One day I'll get back to it, but as soon as a quick turnaround wasn't possible I lost interest and it went into my 'to do' pile.

You really don't want to know how big that pile is.
Such a beautiful bike too. I'm disappointed in you SB. Tut tut tut.

Having said that I've not touched my restoration since 2012. I really should grab a radio and go and sit in the garage for a day or two and crack on with the water+aluminum foil.

What a result that was! Our 3rd goal was probably goal of the season for me. Absolutely sublime build up play and right in front of where we sit.

Fastest ever home time today too having driven to Lewes because of train engineering works. So back in time for plenty of MSR coverage. Interesting to see how the changed route and bus transfer will change things. Possibly favours the sprinters now? Chavanel & Boonen already called it a day.

Edit: Apparently Chavanel hasn't abandoned. But notables that have also include Goss & Phinney.

A great MSR rounds off a fine sporting day. Don't worry, no spoilers.

Have watched it now, and how good was it to see Ian Stannard up there giving it everything? As for my lot...GT falling was never part of the plan, and seeing Rasch attempting to get going again was quite amusing.

Once U2's lead singer was removed from the start list I never had a chance.

I've gone a bit maverick on MSR.... NO SAGAN!!!!

Well, that back-fired for me. Oh well - if you want to win a bike race you have to be prepared to put it all on the line and lose.

Well that was a most enjoyable race. What a performance from Stannard, tried everything to get away from an absolutely stellar lead group. Sagan blew it imo, he started his sprint way too early allowing Ciolek to get him on the line. Cancellara nearly got past him on the line which I think tells you all you need to know about that sprint.

Sir Bradley looked very good today! (no spoilers...)

The Catalunya squads must be having a wry smile today setting off in 18 deg and bright sunshine!

Haven't you got a house to design?

The lucky sods. They've got a beautiful coastline, fantastic hilly landscape, Girona and Barcelona, the Pyranees within spitting distance and proper weather. Makes you sick.

I have it on next to me while I'm working! Brilliant. Live cycling is the perfect compliment to the creative process!

:annoyed:

I will be watching the highlights later. I suspect that my headteacher would object to me putting it on whilst I'm teaching 32 10 year olds.

Well done in MSR by the way!

I have been all about the soccerball for 2 days straight, t'is amazing what a performance can do.

I completely missed MSR and had expected to watch some highlights, but haven't got round to it.

We can fairly safely say the prospect of England San Marino will jolt me back to my default setting, pretty soon.
