It's all a bit elitist on this thread, I feel out of place.

Don't think I didn't notice those fixing of words.:ohmy::wink:

It's not elitist far far from it.

But if you're going to roll into town with an incendiary provocative video then double down with the broadest of broad stroke categorisation you're going to get a small amount of pushback.

G's crash looked horrible. Bidon in the road, he went over it at a fair speed. Nothing he could have done, really bad luck.

Video is on Twitter, but I can't link it using my phone.

Serious question now.

Why do you prefer cycling to run???

Okay, I wondered if it was because you preferred to see more of the countryside or something else???

If you wanted to talk about cycling, with a (former) cyclist, you should probably review how you initially present yourself to the discussion.

Enjoy your evening, I hope Spurs bring you everything you want.

Bidons all over the place there, WTF is going on

I'll Eden a guess someone across the road hit a manhole/drain cover hard, popping the bidon from it's cage.

There was a clear hump - you can see the motor bikes suspension bottoming out in the same place. I lost a full bidon hitting a pot hole travelling about 1/10th of their pace.

Blimey, I thought you had a sense of humour.

I really don't know what you mean about spurs???

Me, hip pain. Riding is non weight bearing. And its great being able to get so far into countryside.

I do get that.

The main thing I struggle with when cycling off the road is horses that cut up all the bridleways. Who do they think they are.:lolol:

I prefer to run, because of the simplicity of it, I walk out the door, after a quick warmup and put on a good pair of shoes, and off I go. No fighting to get the bike out of the shed, then checking it over, pumping up tyres etc.

I also like the fact on a cold day the wind chill is so much less as your not moving so fast and the aerobic effect seems to be greater unless you are cycling up long inclines. But of course, you can cheat yourself going downhill freewheeling.

To me, it seems a no brainer that running is ahead of cycling in every department apart from poor hips and knees.

Please tell me if there is anything else I am missing?

I am generally interested in why this thread has so many posts???
