For my 7th pick I decided I needed to sort my fullbacks as I have neglected that position, find a set piece specialist and also a good solid captain. In Category 4 - Plays/Manages outside the "top5" leagues (although he can fit into many other categories) - A legend at Shaktar Donesk playing for them over 260 times, and the most capped player ever for Croatia playing 111 times - the attacking fullback, free kick specialist and my captain - Darijo Srna

Well thats one that i had been agonising over whether to pick this round just gone or to wait and hope they are still there for my next pick gone. :nono: I was so close to taking him on my last go.

Now to just hope most of the others remain unpicked.

Since most of my selections were stolen...

I will select a striker.

The man is the epitome of the modern striker. Tall, quickish and has an eye for goal.

He has scored 15 Premier League goals this season, which is a rarity.

He was the top goalscorer of Ligue 1 in 2011 with 21 goals.

I'm having to change my draft plan to account for the run on full backs at the moment, very much hoping I don't come to regret it!

My latest draft is to fill the troublesome left back spot.

Like others within my team, he's widely considered to be one of the rising stars of the world game. He's a winner of three separate leagues (2 Brazilan state and the Portuguese), a full Brazilan international and is now almost constantly linked with a move away from Porto.

He's 23, and slots into my team via category 10.

Step forward; Alex Sandro!

All yours moggy

Righteo then,

Need a partner for Thiery Henry so this is an easy pick for me plus I can tick a tricky category.
Into category 4 plying his trade at Al-Sadd and due to retire, finally at the end of the season, is one of the all time great spanish strikers.......Yep, you e guessed him.......Raúl

I shall start my back line with a guy who is the first choice goalkeeper for one of the top sides in Europe. He played in the Champions League final last year. He's played over 300 games for his club, yet to play in a World Cup and he's over 30.

ROMAN WEIDENFELLER

Sticking an exciting youngster into my defence.

GREGORY VAN DER WIEL

A Dutch international footballer who plays professionally for Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain, as a right back.

He is a product of the renowned Ajax youth system, and plays as an attacking right back and is known for his speedy runs down the flank. In 2010, Van der Wiel was awarded the Johan Cruyff Award for "Young Player of the Year" in the Netherlands.

He has also won the Dutch league title with Ajax.

Not bad for 23 years old.

So, pick 7. I'm going for a wonderfully talented midfielder. A player who has tireless energy and can play any role in the centre of the pitch. He's a player that is an absolutely vital cog in any team he plays in, not the flashiest but the kind of player that makes a team tick and the kind of player that improves the quality of the team no matter how much star quality the rest of the team may have. He's a man that has been a full international since he was 18 but has somehow managed to never play in a world cup, he has won a dozen trophies in his career, among them three Portuguese titles and a Europa league. He has played over 400 first team games, 200 of them for his first club, Sporting Lisbon. He is currently plying his trade for Monaco in Ligue 1 and is, of course:

Joao Moutinho
