I for one don't have any idea where the funding is likely to come from, other than the usual 'lottery grant' applications being mentioned.

It comes from corporate sponsorship, grants from sporting bodies such as the Football Trust and securitsation of season ticket sales (i.e. borrowing against future income like a mortgage).

One of the first bills the stadium company will face is to repay the sporting club £2.5m which it has spent on the Falmer application. Some of that can be used for players.

Ive just paid for my half season ticket.

Its taken me years to do it sinse the goldstone, Im thinking about getting it back.

If they can not afford to run things we need to find somebody that can.

At the end of the day players come and go as do managers and CHAIRMAN. We are the football club we will still be albion supporters no matter what happens.

Thats why we have the best supporters in the country.

This is the man we've all been waiting for. He's got to be a multi-millionaire.

He's going to demolish all the retail sheds on the old site and he'll build a new stadium. Bring it home brother.

Our worries are over.

This is not an idiotic project that a bank with an eye for a long-term return would automatically chuck out.

Banks are absolutely falling over themselves at the moment to provide asset-backed finance with solid future revenue streams. Someone posted something recently about the Albion's poor timing. However, if we manage to get the go ahead on Falmer in the next 6 months, this will I believe be a superb piece of timing. There's much more appetite for lending at the moment compared to a year ago.

Cullip has been an Albion legend, but his best years are behind him. If we can get some dosh for him it's good business for the Club.

We can bring back Virgo to play with Butters, and if Harding goes as well we will have to rely on Mayo, Watson, El Abd and Hinsh for defensive duties.

Our position this season is so much better than it was 2 years ago, and if we can beat both Stoke and Gillingham we go into the New Year with 31 points.

If the Inland Revenue call in their money and we can't pay we are in the shit, administration, and 10 points deducted.

DK is once again on the ball IMHO and has obviously thought this one through. Even millionaire chairmen do not have bottomless pockets.

Get behind out chairman guys, grit your teeth and hope to God that it goes for us in February.

Come on u Seagulls, and keep drinking the pints of whisky MM!

Just to correct some of you again...we can't go into administration as we have no assets!

If we get into a stage where "administration" in normal terms is the only option, we will have to liquidate the club.....simple as really!!

As we are being told this is no where near then do not panic.

The point above regarding the stadium company is 1000000000000000000% accurate. This is why we are currently in the shit, as bu now all our costs on Falmer would have been repaid and MM would have somewhere around £1m smackeroonies to spend.

Does this make more sense now and do people now realise just how important it is for the application to succeed?

Because of the people who have posted on this thread.

I know two of them personally and know they don't spread rumours for the sake of it.

There are some people who can be believed and others who are wind up merchants.

And who are you to say these people are not just stirring it?

More worrying on why they don't want Harty compering , maybe Harty will come off the fence at last and tell us the truth about what is really happening at the club.

Looks to me as tho other clubs have seen our financial plight and are circling like vultures ..looking to have the best bits away
Similar scenario to wimbledon having to sell all their best players .

But we DO have assets - namely our Football League status and obviously the players who are still on contract at the time.
