At least last nights had endings to two of the stories, the schoolboy puff dealers and the girl that got a beating from the scumbag of a boyfriend.
No outcome to the escaped convict story, except the two officers getting a bollocking in the office from their superior, he told them to abort the car chase after his superior told him too.

I think we have got the message that the young PC likes going to the gay club now.

Two of the detectives found the escaped convict in a pub they were drinking in, they showed them getting up to go over to him but didn't actually show them arresting him so I am guessing that was the closure of the story anyway.

That will teach me not to pay attention, thanks.
Must admit I didn't see his face that clearly in the pub, I thought he was another criminal on the wanted list.

Indeed and what a shame that most of the current high quality TV's drama is a product from our friends across the pond.
With regard to high quality, the 3rd Season of "The Bridge" starts on BBC4 next Saturday.

I like the way that the programme presents how difficult it really is for the police to deal with certain situations, i.e. having to abort chasing the bike through lack of back-up, being confronted with a battered wife and arse of a husband.

There are real elements of policing you don't often see in cop shows and yet this is juxtaposed with gratuitous homosexual storylines like the cross-dresser in the hit and run accident.

And the women's bottoms on the beach.
