I noticed that the somewhat half-hearted booing by German fans didn't put him off his game at all whereas we all remember how he fell apart under the torrent of abuse he received in that first game back at the Amex. He seems to have toughened up since then. "You think this is going to upset me? This is nothing." Leaving him sharp and focused to provide the assist for the winning goal in the Euros final.

As Brighton fans I think we can all claim a little bit of credit for our part in his performance that knocked England out in the last minutes of the tournament. Yay us.

He acknowledged this himself.

Drunk and happy, good stuff.

He deserves it. Not sure I've seen any player get the amount of boos and shit he has (from Chelsea fans, opposition fans, neutral fans..), but he quite firmly destroyed his critics and ended up with the gold medal in the most prestigious competition this year. He can celebrate however he wants.

This but he is still a monumental cockwomble.

Will be booing harder next season….ooo I am hard 😂😂

Potter had a lot to do with his down turn in form at Chelsea made him his scapegoat on more than one occasion.

Went about his move in the wrong way although a fit and firing Pervis I would take every day of the week over Cucurella.

Nothing to do with the brand or 'marketing DISASTER', but my first thought when I saw that picture of them in the bin was, 'what a waste of perfectly good boots'. Someone would love to have them because, let's face it, it's bound to be more down to the person than the footwear. A bad workman, and all that...

Multi-million pound sponsorship deal with Puma? As if the long haired fop doesn't earn enough at The Chavs.

Hopefully there's a penalty clause involved which costs him huge because you'd imagine that Puma have spent millions on developing, producing, stocking and advertising their new £220 boots only for the biggest PR disaster to occur.

Could not have happened to a better mercenary.
