All year round I make out I’m not massively bothered about this rivalry and that Southampton is the big game for me. And then the morning of the game rounds around and I feel sick to my stomach!

Come on lads, this is a chance to make a big statement and show the world just how good we are.

Believe it was 15 years ago today since that brilliant McShane header in the 1-0 win, what a night! Good omen = away win!

Dont know what year but can remember Palace outplaying us for 90mins and Ward scoring winner in injury time

I'm just not quite up for this. Part of the game for me is the trip up to the ground, the abuse and herding from the police, being crammed into a micro small bar area and then standing in the worse stand in the league (error 2nd worse after Everton). Being there for that Knockhaert goal was worth every away defeat of the season.
I'll have a beer at lunchtime at home and put on the TV but sadly my heart wont be in it....
until kick off and then UTA

I would love it if just for once, we absolutely ****ing batter them. No controversy, no bad luck, no repeatedly hitting the post, no conceding against the run of play, no VAR....just nice and simple - everything clicks, we play better and we win comfortably.

Sadly, I've watched this club too long to have any realistic hope that it will happen. However it goes, it will be nervy, stress-inducing and no good for my blood pressure whatsoever.

Deep breath.................and relax.

Come on Albion, 2 clear goals would be nice
.:albion2:

We've got exactly the same VAR officials as at our last match.

What about the 3-1? Or Paddy’s day ?

Paddy's Day I'll give you, but the 3-1 still included them getting a penalty, us playing most of the game with 10 men and them having a shot cleared off the line at 2-0, so not 100% as comfortable as the scoreline suggests and certainly not a game I felt comfortable watching!
